The Relationship of Health Disorders to Lifestyle and Chronotype among Mall Employees in Metro Manila Macaraig, KristelCammil T. Magaling, Frances Rexjean C. Co-Proponents Manapol, Paola Mae S. Research Adviser Bea-gracia Cruz RN,MAN This study deals with the kinds of health risks or disorders, Mall workers are imposed to, with relation to their lifestyle and daily routine through both qualitative and quantitative approaches. The chronotype and the type of shift of each General Description mall workers to be interviewed will be determined and correlated; this being the quantitative data. The lifestyle on the other hand and the description of the different heath disorders of the employees will serve as the quantitative data. These variables will be compared and correlated to find their relationship. Research Problem What is the relationship of health disorders to lifestyle and chronotype among mall employees in Metro Manila? The study has the following objectives: (1) To describe the demographic profile that includes the personal data and type of work of mall employees. (2) To describe the Health Objectives of the Study Disorders mall workers are susceptible or at risk to and to look into health disorders presently dominant among affected mall workers. (3) To describe their lifestyle and chronotype. (4) To relate the Health Disorders to their lifestyle, chronotype and type of work.

Health Disorders or health risks related to mall workers includes a scope of factors from musculoskeletal disordersBackground & Rationale brought about by long hours of standing and type of shift- to communicable diseases due to the fact that these employees work located in a secluded, air-conditioned building, faced with a large number of different people. This study aims to bring awareness among mall workers regarding the possible health risks theyre susceptible to on Significance of the Study their job. It also aims to serve a means of health education to them which may bring forth prevention of impending health risks. Respondents for this study are limited to the mall workers Scope and Delimitation within Metro Manila. This study is also limited to tackling health disorders that most commonly affects the said type of employees. Research Design Research Locale Sampling Technique Correlational Quantitative Study Metro Manila Purposive Sampling A semi-structured interview with mall workers will be Research Instrument conducted to determine their personal lifestyle, type of work and health issues they have encountered or theyre going through. A survey consisted of the MEQ and SF-36. Permission will be derived to conduct the study and perform Data Gathering Technique the surveys and interviews to be given to Mall workers.
