Note
(1)
The amount of free disk space required depends on the number of DSLs in the network and the number of saved network assessments. The minimum amount of free disk space required during installation is 750 kbytes.
Contact your Alcatel technical support representative for more information about 5530 NA server system requirements.
Browser requirements
Table 1-3 lists the browser requirements for the 5530 NA GUI.

single node cluster - consists of multiple nodes and it is used to increase performance Single node configuration
A single node configuration is used when you have only one node. See Procedure 2-1 for information about how to install the 5530 NA server for one node.
Cluster configuration
For a cluster configuration, the workload of the application server is divided over multiple nodes. However, the database server is installed on only one node, which is typically the first node that you install. When you install additional nodes that do not have a database, you must enter the location of the node that contains the database. Figure 1-2 shows a cluster configuration in the network.

A cluster configuration requires a shared drive for the nodes in the cluster to communicate, which requires a shared folder to be configured during the installation of the nodes. The shared folder must be mounted with the same path for each node to access the folder. You can modify the folder after the installation. You can add application servers to an operational cluster. Figure 1-3 shows a cluster configuration with application servers, a database, and shared file system.

1 Getting started
To configure the shared drive, choose AdministrationSystem Settings from the main menu. Enter the path to the shared drive for the Shared drive path parameter and click on the Apply button. After the shared drive is configured, the administrator can display the active nodes in the cluster by choosing AdministrationSystem status from the main menu and clicking on the Node statistics tab button. The node does not appear in the list of active node or in the performance graph when:
the node is not started the cluster partition name for the node does not match the name that was entered
during installation See Procedure 2-2 for information about how to install the 5530 NA server for multiple nodes.

The place holders (for example, {0}) are for variable information, such as dates or user names.
Note If a place holder is deleted from the property file, the English value is used on the GUI.
You can add HTML tags to modify the format of the text, for example, italics, bold, or underline. For example, to italicize, enter:

to:
problemdescription_SP.properties
You can create multiple service provider problem and repair advice descriptions, for example, problemdescription_SP1.properties and problemdescription_SP2.properties. Only the accounts with the Service parameter set to same service provider name are affected. For example, the problemdescription_SP1.properties file does not affect accounts that have the Service provider parameter set to SP2. c 7 For NOC problemdescriptions and repairaction property files, you can modify the files without renaming or adding a suffix.
Nativetoascii converts the property files to ASCII format. 8 9 Repeat step 7 for each property file. Zip and move all the modified property files to the nadeploy directory by typing:
cd temp/dist zip /NA_Installation/server/jboss-4.0.2/server/ni/nadeploy/100-n i-SUFFIX-resources.zip *.properties
where temp is the name of the temporary directory NA_Installation is the 5530 NA installation directory SUFFIX is the ISO country code and must be lowercase, the CSR or SP must be in uppercase. For example, a CSR or SP version of the problemdescriptions property files in French is problemdescription_fr_CSR.properties.
