Dismantling Sequence Advance motion Group Leasing group Tweezer Group Selection Group Knotter Group

Selection group could be removed without removal of leasing group by loosening the screw on the stick in both top & bottom. Assembling Sequence Knotter Group Selection Group Tweezer Group Leasing Group Advance Motion Group

Removal of yarn ejector Rotate hand wheel & bring ejector to maximum forward position. Remove two screw & remove the cover. If Yarn ejector to be taken out. Take out the circlip (2nos) & take out the yarn ejector. If yarn ejector is completely taken out, Setting is at zero Degree. Distance between yarn ejector to base plate is 30.5 mm.

Removal of advance motion group Turn the M/c so top advance feeler is in lowest position. Take out the shaft & gear fully out on the side, where cover is removal. On the opposite side take out the plastic plug & just take out the shaft (Dont take completely. Takeout such that gear rotates freely.

Remove two screw & take out advance motion group (Note that bottom screw is with washer since hole is not through in M/C no 1). While assembling bring the m/c to the position of plate completely down.

Note that T nut is in front side < adjustment by 7 mm nut >.Bottom layer movement depends on left gear of M/C (i.e.) dismantled gear. If Bottom layer yarn is picked, top layer yarn is not picked then bottom layer moves away from the m/c. Whereas in other hand if bottom layer yarn is not picked, top layer yarn is picked then bottom moves away towards the m/c. In advance motion Group 2 to 3 mm up setting (when lease tube are parallel) would be wrong if center gear of motion hole position (i.e.) half visible & half-invisible towards m/c front. Also in Dismantled mode of feed motion part, the setting is 13mm from bottom plane surface.

Removal of leasing Group Remove lease tubes by removing two screw. Remove two nuts & remove backside cover. Remove four screws & taken out leasing unit backside.

Assembling of leasing Group Bring the m/c to Zero degree & lock it by 2.5 mm Allen key. Open the tweezer group lever. Disengage leasing clutch. Insert the pin & lock the gear. Insert the bullet in lease bar. Rotate the cam manually so that lease bar comes in maximum forward position. Attach the wire guage to the clamp between lease bars. Insert the unit by backside of m/c. After fitting takeout the guage.

Check the setting (i.e.) when top lease bar is level, bottom lease bar should be 2 mm out from backside, if not do the above fitting again.

Note: In m/c, no 1 the above setting is reverse (i.e.) when bottom lease bar is level be 2 mm out.

Fit the lease tube to lease bar when lease bar rotate towards center of selection group as given below

Now bottom lease bar rotates towards center of selection group. So first, fit the bottom lease tube to the lease bar as mention below & tight it with level of gauge in maximum forward position.

Then rotate the machine to fit the top lease tube (i.e.) when top lease bar rotate towards selection group in anticlock wise direction.

Else, fit both the lease tube at a time by making the lease bar in cross position & rotating towards the selection group as shown below.

Lease tube take two-position .Depending on ends selection on starting of dressing on top & bottom layer we have to adjust the lease tube position in cross or parallel. In M/c no 2& 3 lease tube changes it position regularly after for every rotation but it remain parallel or cross as it was. If we have to change the lease position form cross to parallel (or) vice versa. Disengage the on lease bar & rotate slightly & engage it.

In m/c no 1(with lease drum) lease tube remain stationery until it takes the yarn. So if we want to change lease tube position from cross to parallel press the lease drum needle when selection needle is completely in one side. If there is yarn cut in middle of dressing press the lease drum needle on both top & bottom when needle completely in, So the position of lease tube changes to next lease position. After end breakage in frame (i.e.) after separation error, rotate the m/c until symbol of flag & square ( ) comes. In m/c 2 & 3 when symbols comes, ends selected whether it is top (or) bottom should be left & not selected end layer first yarn should be cut as lease tube changes it position. In m/c, 1 when symbol comes ends selected top (or) bottom should be cut. Then press lease drum needle on both top & bottom when selection needle is completely in, as lease tube has to take the next position. Tweezer group Remove two screw & take out tweezer group. When assembling if tweezer group is revered then tweezer group lever would touch the needle holder. Fitting such that bend portion of tweezer group lever should be towards advance motion group.

For tweezer group drive is from leasing group slot. It gets closed & open because of leasing action. Therefore, when working without lease tweezer lever should kept open. For double end selection Open the twister slightly

As in closed position, it might take two yarns inside For repetition, close the tweezer lever slightly. Fine count slightly opens the tweezer. Coarser count slightly close the tweezer. Selection Group Removal of Selection Group Remove 4 no of 3 mm Allen screw & takeout the cover by removing adopter of the wire. Remove one (or) two wire slots, which goes inside selector group (depending on electronic double end preventer). Take out connection of the wire

Remove 2 screw of selector group after making the rack completely down by rotating hand wheel. Now takeout the selector unit. If selector group to be removed without leasing group loose the screws in the stick in top & bottom. Takeout the stick from selector group.

Assembling of Selection Group While assembling selector group thread clamps should brought to horizontal position facing each other (i.e.) inline with machine front plane. Bring the m/c to the postion such that rack & brass lower are completely inside (i.e.) m/c Zero degree. After assembling check first tooth of thread clamp meeting the first tooth of rack on both top & bottom.

Thread clamp adjustment Bring the m/c to the position so that the black lever of lever complete is inline with slot of control lever when black lever of lever complete is moving outside.

Put the 6 mm guage below the washer of spring. Note the spring rotates freely. However, there should not be any vertical play in spring. If so, tighten the locknut. If spring is not rotating freely then loose the locknuts

If above setting is not ok. Then lever complete should be replaced, as there might be play in black lever rivet hole. Needle Retainer adjustment Rotate hand wheel, so the groove of needle is in line with yarn pressure <lower edge > when needle moving inside. Insert the guage Guage should just touch the needle &at the point of gauge touching the needle, it should not go down.

When needle touching the guage, needle retainer should be in contact with the needle. After inserting guage if needle goes down then needle retainer should be further pushed down by 7 mm eccentric bolt. If needle retainer worn out not going further down, then loose the top screw press it with hand & tight it After inserting guage if there is gape between needle & guage then needle retainer should be pushed up 7 mm eccentric bolt.

Yarn Presser adjustment Rotate hand wheel so that yarn pressure goes to maximum inner position. Insert the guage,1 mm side should go inside the gape & 1.5 mm side should not go inside. If the above setting is not right in m/c loosen one of the two grub screw for adjustment

Yarn Tensioner adjustment Rotate the hand wheel, so tensioner is in maximum outer position. Insert the guage.setting is surface of tensioner (i.e.)tip of tensioner should be inline with the surface of guage. If the setting is not ok, then loose the screw & adjust the black strip in top & bottom for the respective.

For replacing Yarn Tensioner,Presser from Selection Group Remove two screw & nut. Remove the long length screw.

Take out shaft rivet & replace yarn tensioner or presser, which has to be replaced. For replacing yarn presser & tensioner, it would be easy if single end preventer is removed. Needle play & clearance adjustment Selection needle is between yarn presser & single end preventer. Gape between yarn presser & selection needle is 0.2mm. Setting for needle tension is that it should just go upto yarn presser bend portion, when slightly pressed. Above mentioned gape & needle tension setting should be done when needle & yarn presser completely in.

For adjusting needle tension, loose the 5.5mm nut, turn the spring & tight the nut. (Note that grub screw should not be disturbed). For arresting needle play & clearance adjustment loose grubs screw on both the sides. Depth of needle adjustment Depth of needle adjustment is done, when needle is completely in. Setting is needle groove should be 0.1 to 0.2 mm below the tip of the feeder. Adjustment is by loosening the screw opposite to yarn tensioner adjustment screw (i.e.) at the side of tweezer group. Needle holder play adjustment Done by loosening 5.5mm nut & rotating the small gear until the position where needle holder does not have play. Then tighten 5.5 mm nut. Single end preventer Remove 7 mm nut & screw in front. Remove screw at the other end. While removing take care, that spring is not coming out from single end preventer. If there is any fluff accumulation then there might be false detection of single end. Take out 5.5 mm nut. Press the unit & take out for cleaning. When yarn presses top & bottom thread feelers both opens giving way for feeder to take the yarn to cutter.

If yarn not selected in either top or bottom, feeder would be obstructed (as lever does not open) to take the yarn to cutter, so automatically m/c would stop because of single end detection. When feeder moved inside detector detects it for counting the pick.

Mechanical Double end Preventer Tip of double end preventer should be 0.2 mm in to the feeder tip. Bring the tip of feeder in level with tip of double end preventer. Push the tip of feeder sideways with screwdriver. It should just touch the double end preventer & go to other side & come back again to its original position. Adjustment is by means of 7mm nut on double end preventer.

Extractor Disc Remove the outer cover by removing 5 screws.

Note: 2 screws in the side are small length screws. Remove the disc, which has left hand thread by locking the machine at zero degree. Remove another cover by removing 4 screws. Remove rotating plastic wheel by removing a screw. There are 3 hole position in the 3 gears Top hole - lock it with 2.5 mm Allen key. Bottom hole - should also locked. Middle hole should be half-visible & half should go in the direction of machine position. If the above middle hole setting is not right. Then disengage middle gear &make the position right, then engage it. If the middle gear position is not right, then there will not be a gape of 2 to 3mm when lease tubes are parallel. When assembling waste extractor disc, bring the machine to bottom cutter cut position (which was slightly delayed than top cutter). At this position disc lever to straight yarn path clearance should be 2-3 mm. Knotter group Removal of knotter group Remove stop lever by removing 3mm Allen bolt (grub screw in m/c no 3). Remove knotter needle from back.

Remove knotter sleeve by loosening 4mm grub screw in the side. Note that at this position top, bottom groove of fork should coincide & inline with center or 4mm back of the screw. Groove marked tooth &adjacent teeth (towards m/c top) should coincide dowel pin.

Remove 3 screws & take out knotter group.

Assembling of Knotter group Insert the stop lever (dont tight it). While assembling knotter group teeth should be forwarded two teeth. So that after assembling it coincides with helical gear & comes to correct position. After assembling, check plastic groove coinciding with each other & with center or 4mm back from the screws center. Fix the needle sleeve, such that push needle is just 2mm out of needle sleeve at push needles maximum forward position.

If push needle also removed, then fix needle sleeve first. Setting is distance between base to top of needle sleeve is 55.5 mm (by using gauge). Then lock needle sleeve by 4mm grub screw. Insert push needle. Setting is push needle should be 2mm out of needle sleeve at its maximum forward position. Above 2mm, setting is done by loosening 5.5 mm screw in backside of m/c. Insert knotter needle & lock it. Note that at maximum knotter needle forward position there should be gape of 3-4 mm (3mm Allen key should go inside, 4mm should not). If above knotter needle setting is not right, then loose 2 mm grub screw for adjustment. While loosening grub screw make sure that plane of tightening clamp not get disturbed. For knot loose press knotter needle up & for tight knot press knotter needle down.

Make the stop lever setting such that when black lever of lever complete going outside & matching the control lever slot .control lever should have very less play.

Belt change Loose one screw in handle & take out the handle. Loose 3 no of 4mm Allen screw. Loose 3 no of 4mm Allen screw fitting hexagonal part by means of 8mm box spanner. Loose 1 no of 3mm Allen screw attached to motor. Now tilt the motor & take out the belt. For fitting, follow reverse procedure.

For Electronic card checking Take out plug in ON condition. Press menu roll continuously & at the same time insert the plug. Diagnostic features would appear on monitor for checking i/p & o/p card.
