MATERIALS A. General: 1. B. Steam Room Enclosure Construction: Walls, floor and ceiling as well as the related finishing material shall be as indicated on Drawings.

Door: Manufacturer's standard, commercial grade, in tinted tempered safety glass complete with anodized aluminum frame, 3 rust-proof hinges, controlled aluminum handles and a hydraulic door closer (silent type). Provide an air vent and a drainage strip at the base of door. Glazing: Manufacturer standard, hermetically sealed insulated units. Insulation: Foil-faced (inside) glass fiber blanket or board insulation, of thickness and density as required. Air and Vapor Barrier: Black polyethylene film reinforced with glass fiber square mesh, including seaming tape with permanent adhesive. Ventilation: Provide proper ventilation for steam rooms at a rate of air exchange between 5 and 10 m3 per person per hour. Lighting System: Manufacturer's standard spray-proof design, wall type fixture. Provide low-voltage transformer for steam room lighting; 24 Volts, 200 watts unless otherwise required. Fragrance Holder: Manufacturer's standard glass dish supported on metal bracket for wall-mounting inside steam cubicle for use with steam fragrance drop-dispenser. Steam Fragrance: Manufacturer's standard refreshing essence supplied in a practical drop-dispenser. Decalcifier: For de-scaling the steam generator's water reservoir. Harmless and odorless, supplied in 80 g packets. Thermometer: A bi-metal type with a glazed dial showing graduated temperature in Centigrade and Fahrenheit.

Steam Generator: Manufacturer standard type, featuring the following: 1. 2. Remote control full automatic continuous operation and water level regulation as well as automatic emptying and flushing. Provide manufacturer's standard stainless steel water reservoir; steam and water tubing; calcium-repellent, self-cleaning electrodes; low water cut-out; water filter; timer for 6 hours; adjustable steam heads; adjustable temperature control.

Steam Generator Control Panel: Manufacturer's standard control panel, recessed type for mounting outside the steam room to regulate bathing time automatically as well as the steam temperature. Control panel shall have a splash-proof design, lockable temperature settings, 6-hour timer and a signal lamp.

PART 3 - EXECUTION 3.1 EXAMINATION A. Verify that surfaces and openings are ready to receive work and opening dimensions are as indicated on shop drawings and in accordance with manufacturer's instructions.

INSTALLATION A. B. Comply with manufacturer's instructions for assembly of units and for installation of equipment and lighting system, controls and accessories. Coordinate installation of mechanical and electrical components; connect to utilities. Connect remote steam generator to room outlets. 1. Piping: Copper pipes for hot and cold water supply shall have a minimum diameter of 25 mm. Drainage piping shall be unplasticized PVC schedule 40; sizes as required. Piping and plumbing work shall conform to the requirements of Division 15 - MECHANICAL. Electrical: Electrical works and installations shall conform to Division 16 ELECTRICAL and its applicable requirements. Grounding: Conformance to the requirements specified in Section 16452 GROUNDING.

Upon completion, test system and equipment, and adjust as necessary for proper operation by the installing Contractor.
