Photosynthesis Organisms are open systems that exchanges materials and energy with their surroundings.

All organisms interact with its environment. An example of an organism interacting with its environment is when tree roots absorb minerals from the soil and the tree takes in carbon dioxide from the air. In return, these trees release oxygen into the air which benefits humans. The roots of the tree changes soil by breaking up rocks in the soil into smaller pieces. The environment and the organism are greatly affected by the interacting going on between the two. The tree also works together with the other living organisms like the animals that eat leaves and fruit from them.

Biological control brings advantage to the environment. Biological control is a very specific strategy. For example, whereas weed killing chemicals can also destroy fruit-bearing plants, biological control allows the fruit to be left uninterrupted while the weeds are destroyed. Biological control can be cost effective in the long run. The most important fact is effective. There are no doubts it can be effectively control whatever pest population you want, because the predator introduces will be naturally inclined to target the pests.

`However, biological control can be fickle. It is not easy to control and slow process. It takes a lot of time and patience for the biological agents to control the pest population. While it is cheap in the long run, the process actually setting up a biological control system is a costly endeavor. a lot of money is needed to invest in a successful system Photosynthesis is the process in which the green plants use light to produce food. Green plants manufacture glucose from water and carbon dioxide in the presence of sunlight trapped in their chlorophyll. Oxygen is then released to the environment in this process. Photosynthesis helps maintain a balanced ecosystem. Photosynthesis ensures that the amounts of oxygen and carbon dioxide remain at constant levels in the air through the carbon and oxygen cycles. Living organisms obtain their supply of energy from food they eat either directly or indirectly from the energy of sunlight trapped during photosynthesis. This explains an important role of photosynthesis in providing food to maintain a balanced ecosystem.

Water Pollution Water pollution is the contamination of water bodies such as lakes, rivers, ocean, and groundwater. Water pollution occurs when pollutants are discharges directly or indirectly into water bodies without adequate treatment to remove harmful compounds. Water pollution will cause harm to plants and organisms living in these bodies of water. In most of the cases, the cause not only damage the individual species and populations but also to the natural biological communities. Water pollution can be controlled in the multiple ways. It is best controlled by the dilution of water. The pollutants must be treated chemically and must be converted into the non toxic substances. Besides, residents near the river should take up the responsible to maintain the cleanliness of the river. They should dispose garbage or waste water in a proper way instead of throwing into the river. Government also play an important role to enforce the water pollution control regulation in order to reduce the cases of water pollution happened. It is not easy to reverse the effects of water pollution and it can be very costly. There are two common ways to fix water that has been polluted. Removing the source is very much depends on the source and type of pollution. Removing the contaminants is the second way of cleaning up water pollution. There are five techniques can be used which are air stripping, activated carbon filtration, bioremediation, phytoremediation and chemical oxidation. Water is important in our daily life; therefore we should conserve and uses it wisely. There are few simple ways to save water. The tap shall be turned off when it is not in used. Checking leak pipe regularly and fix it if necessary. Washing car or bike with a bucket and sponge instead of a hose saves a lot of water. Collect the water that use for rinsing fruits and vegetable, and then reuse it to water the plant. All these little actions will bring great effect on conserving water.
