theory and process of pleasure movement. Austrian Economist Herman. V. Schuh in 1910 defined it as The sum of total operators mainly of an economic nature which directly relate to the entry, stay and movement of foreigners inside and outside certain a city or region76. The increasing importance of quantitative aspects of tourism for marketing decisions has led to various attempts by experts in the field to arrive at an internationally accepted definition of tourist as the basic unit of measurement. Definition of Tourist The origin of the word tourist dates back to the year 1292 A.D. It has come from the word tour a derivation of the Latin word tornus meaning a tool for describing circle or a turners wheel 78. In 17th century the term first was used for travelling from place to place a journey touching the principal parts of country or region. The tourist is a person who makes journey for the sake of curiosity for the fun of travelling or just tell others that he has travelled79. The Indian Governments Tourist Department defined foreign tourist as a foreign tourist is a person visiting India, on a foreign passport, staying atleast one day in India and the purpose of whose journey should be leisure, recreation, health, study, religion, sports, business, mission, family and meeting80.
