Scope of Document: This document helps us understand the steps to be followed in case we want to deschedule a process chain. Some of our process chains run on weekdays or particular workdays. So they have to be descheduled and rescheduled accordingly. Here we are taking the example of descheduling the data layer process chain for Banking Services (ZBSMETACHAIN). Step1: Open the process chain in RSPC or RSPC1 There are two ways of opening the process chain. If we know the name of the process chain to be descheduled then go to transaction RSPC1.

Step2: After entering the process chain name, click on execute. Process chain will open.
But if we dont know the name of the chain then we can use transaction RSPC to search for it. Search for the required chain by opening the corresponding node. Below screen will open after execution of transaction RSPC.

After searching for process chain, double click on it. Process chain will open as shown below:
Step3: There are two ways of descheduling a process chain, a. Remove from schedule b. Deleting the next scheduled job If the process chain is currently running and we use first method to deschedule it, then along with the next schedule job, currently running job will also be cancelled. We should use this method only if the current run is completed. If we use the second method to deschedule the job, then only the next scheduled job will be cancelled. It will not affect the currently running job. a. Remove from Schedule Click on Execution tab, click on Remove from Schedule.

Deleting the next schedule job 1. Right click on process step Start of process chain, click on Displaying Scheduled Jobs.
2. After clicking on Displaying Scheduled Jobs, Job overview screen will appear. Select the job.

4. After clicking on Delete, below pop up will open. It will ask to delete selection. Click on Yes.
5. After clicking on Yes, the scheduled job will disappear from the Job Overview screen.
Step4: Now go back to the process chain and refresh it. The process step Start will turn Grey. It shows that the process chain has been descheduled.
