All-American Skills Camp Highlight Report

The 1st Annual NEXT LEVEL BASKETBALL All-American Skills Camp set the bar high for its upcoming fall tour. The Talbert Recreation Center in Mooresville, NC hosted players from Arnold, MD to Coral Springs, FL. Of the 60 players that were in attendance, there were several players that stood out. Three of these players, traveled from Jacksonville, FL together. Amondo Garcia, a 510 rising senior (class of 2014), is a quick guard that has no problem getting to the basket and is also able to knock down the mid-range jumper. Michael Rowlette, a 63 rising senior, (class of 2014), is an athletic wing that loves playing in the open court and finishes above the rim. Anthony Abate, a 62 rising junior (class of 2015), is an athletic guard that can get to the basket and finish in traffic, as well as knock down the open jumper. Another local North Carolina player that stood out was Seth Brooks. Seth is a 59 rising junior (class of 2015) from Reidsville, NC, that a player that worked extremely hard the entire weekend and that hard work carried over into the games. Seth can shoot the 3 off the catch and off the dribble along with getting to the basket and score the ball. In our Junior Elite Division, one player that stood out among the rest was Elijah Haynes. Elijah is a 50 point guard, rising 8th grader (class of 2018), that put on a show the entire weekend. He consistently made the right play, from passes to shots; Elijah knew what the team needed and he delivered. On the other end of most of his passes was Keith Holmes Jr. Keith is a 510 small forward, rising 8th grader (class of 2018) who was one of the top players in the Next Level Basketball Summer Clinic in Richmond, VA. He continued to impress everyone with his great energy and his ability to score the ball in traffic. Keiths relentless pressure on defense caused turnovers which started the break on offense. Jeremiah Todd is another player that excelled in Richmond, VA. He is a 510 shooting guard, rising 8th grader (class of 2018) that used his size to get to the basket and make plays. Jeremiah can also knock down the open jumper.
