AMP NETCONNECT LightCrimp optical fiber connectors are no-epoxy, polish connectors that make optical fiber terminations faster and easier than with typical epoxy terminations. LightCrimp connectors exceed all requirements of ANSI/TIA/EIA-568-B and ISO 11801:2002 and feature a mechanical crimp that allows for the elimination of epoxy and reduces termination to four easy steps. Just strip the cable, insert and crimp the fiber into the connector, cleave the fiber and polish. AMP NETCONNECT LightCrimp connectors are eligible for the AMP NETCONNECT 25-year Component and Systems Performance Warranties. LightCrimp ST-style connectors are available for single-mode and 62.5m, 50m and XG (850nm LO 50m) multimode fiber. LightCrimp SC connectors are available for 62.5m, 50m and XG (850nm LO 50m) multimode fiber, in simplex and duplex versions. LightCrimp connectors include all accessories needed to terminate 900m bare buffer and 250m coated fibers and 3mm jacketed cables.

Optical fibers shall be terminated with AMP NETCONNECT LightCrimp, no-epoxy, polish connectors. Optical fiber connectors shall be [ST-style, SC simplex or SC duplex], [multimode (for SC simplex or duplex) or multimode or single-mode (for ST-style)]. The connector shall have a [ceramic (for SC simplex or duplex) or ceramic or stainless steel (for ST-style)] ferrule and shall be field installable without requiring epoxy and shall include all accessories needed to terminate 900m bare buffer and 250m coated fibers and 3mm jacketed cables. The connector shall meet the performance requirements listed in the following table: [include Performance Characteristics table from page 2]. In addition the LightCrimp connector shall meet the intermateability requirements of [ANSI/TIA/EIA-604-2 (for ST-style) or ANSI/TIA/EIA-604-3 (for SC simplex or duplex)]. The optical fiber connector shall be AMP NETCONNECT part number [503692-1, 503693-1, 504000-1, 504001-1 or 504034-1].
