Professional Ambition
To provide strategic pastoral leadership and dynamic coaching to a team
(community), that is intent on seeing the best of character, truth and grace built
into their ministry with a strategic vision to impact the present and future
generations for Christ’s Kingdom.

Executive Summary
Curt Hamner is a mature, wise and nurturing pastor with over thirty years of
leadership, highlighting the teaching of God’s Word, strategic leadership,
coaching and team building. Many of his personal and professional values came
during his years working with Youth for Christ in Orange County and camping
ministries, where a relevant, personal and practical approach to ministry became
his style. Curt was tutored at Dallas Seminary by Dr. Howie Hendricks and later
by Dr. Charles (Chuck) Swindoll, while serving as pastor to young families at the
Evangelical Free Church in Fullerton, CA. Involvement in the community has
always been a priority, during his years in Orange County, he served as a
Chaplain for the Placentia Police Department. Many of those Curt has coached
and mentored over his career in ministry, still connect for mutual encouragement
and counsel.
Curt is married to Rhonda, his wife of thirty-one years, both who find great joy in
their four adult children and one granddaughter. The Hamners have been
involved in Pastoral Ministry for over Twenty five years; much of the delight of life
together has been shepherding and dsicipling individuals and couples; Curt and
Rhonda are certified marriage educators, retreat speakers and trainers; together
they founded the bed and breakfast w/a purpose retreats, called Between Two
Trees. Besides providing community based Marriage Education retreats, the
Hamners maintain a constant schedule of counseling, coaching and speaking on
marriage and family life issues. When relaxing Curt enjoys time at his home in
the mountains or/ at the beach.

than 700 men, as well as, creating the first annual father daughter
valentine dance and follow-up seminar, “Be the Dad Your Daughter
Needs”.
• Taught weekly gathering of 100-150 men, addressing issues men
face.
• Brought leadership to the central executive team through strategic
and transitional thinking.
• Developed a men’s ministry focused on discipleship and support to
men in their varied life experiences.

shepherded the staff.

on community and conversation in a bed and breakfast
environment.

building remodel, and executed the business and ministry plans.
• Hosted, taught and coached over 700 couples, working in a
leadership and ministry model as husband and wife with authentic
and healthy relationships.
• Managed operations and ministry components of the project.
• Worked in conjunction with Development Team developing donor
relations.

Pastor to Young Families
• Began as pastor to Adults, developing a vision for “life stage
ministry”; executed the transition to this ministry strategy.
• Created and lead coalition of 25 sub congregations (30-200
members each).
• Founded and developed Adult Education mentoring program.
• Taught Premarital Class drawing couples from both the church and
community.
• Created and programmed many relevant and engaging large
events, drawing hundreds of people.
• Served as pastor to Young Families, teaching, shepherding and
discipling a sub congregation of 75 young couples; many of these
young families are now in core leadership in the church. We
continue to enjoy mentoring and friendship relationships with the
staff, elders and congregation.
• Managed and resourced small groups ministry of over 200 groups.
• Preached in the Absence of Chuck Swindoll twice a year.
