Pre-work stages - It is the beginning of your writing assignment and you are looking for the facts and evidence of the case. in which it may come from an interviews of the related documents or from any document related to it if you are given a new case. - The materials you use in this stage are absolutely raw in which it may require you to sort all the date that you need. - When it comes to cases that undergone a trial , you have to look at the transcript of the testimonies of the witnesses and the documentary exhibits presented in the case. 5 stages of Pre-work o Establishing where the legal disputes lies in the case o Discovering its relevant facts o Knowing the laws or rules that apply to it o Identifying the issue or issues that would address o Roughing out the arguments that you would use

Write-up - After gathering all the data needed, in this stage you have to combine together all the facts from the case and information from other documents, you will now transform this information into a full draft of the paper required of you. - Example: Pleading Legal opinion Petition Comment Memorandum Apposition paper decision

Value of Pre-work The lawyer should be able to make a convincing presentation of his case in the limited time that he is able to hold his readers attention, to succeed you need to do a pre-work. A pre-work will help you to know more on the case in which as result you will be able to report your presentation properly and convincing.
