The Fight

Great. Now the whole family knows about my secret. So

the next day, the rest of the family, including the Denali’s, had
known that I had fallen in love with Chris. I sighed. There goes
my secret.

Emmett laughed his booming guffaw. Chris had gone hunting

only a few minutes ago. The Cullen’s and the Denali’s looked at
him. I bet Emmett remembered my crush. I tried to silence him
with my deadly look, but it didn’t work. I sighed again, and got
up and ran at vampire speed outside. In less than 10 seconds, I
came in with a huge, fat branch I got from the biggest tree and
smacked it onto Emmett’s head. The sound was ear-splitting. The
stick broke cleanly in half. I threw it lightly to the floor, with a
small smile upon my face. Emmett stopped laughing immediately.
My family, except Carlisle who was in the hospital treating the
patients, and Jacob laughed.

“What the hell, Jess? Now my head hurts.” He yelled.

“Huh, really? I doubt it. Look!” I pointed to the stick on the floor.
“Your head is hard.”

Emmett growled. Most vampires would’ve backed off, but I

stayed where I was standing and gave him an innocent and sly
smile.

“Growl all you want, Emmett.” I told him. “Just don’t laugh about
me and you-know-who.”

Emmett laughed once again at that reminder. “I said, don’t

laugh!” I hissed.

“Well…too…bad!” My big brother said between hysterical,

booming snickers.

I glared at him, but he was laughing so hard that he didn’t even

notice. I looked at Edward for help. He was chuckling also, from
my “secret” and the act that I did to Emmett, and he stopped
instantly when he noticed my glaring at him.

“Emmett, Jasper wants to fight with you.” Edward said in one

breath, hastily.

Emmett stopped laughing for the second time while Jasper looked
at Edward; clearly he is angry. He and Alice were planning to go
shopping. Alice, of course, had wanted to go shopping and asked
Jasper to come with her. And of course, he agreed.

“Well, what are you waiting for?” Emmett jumped up from the
couch and ran out of the house. Jasper started to reject, but Alice
whispered something in his ear that was only audible to him and
he smiled at me. He ran out into the field to the awaiting Emmett,
the crazed grizzly bear. I giggled to myself and when the
remaining family members looked at me with confusion in their
faces and eyes. I just shook my head and I went out to start the
battle. The two brothers were at least one hundred feet from each
other. I stood in the middle of the field.

“Ready, set, go!” I said clearly. I ran back to the sidelines just in
time. At the word “go”, they jumped at each other and collided in
mid-air. It made a thunderous noise that would’ve hurt my ears if
I was in my human form. Edward, Garrett, and Jacob seemed to
enjoy this. Esme, Alice, Bella, Nessie, Rose, Tanya, Kate, and
Carmen were more worried that they might accidently rip each
other apart. Eleazar was serene but he had a tint of worry in his
eyes. The movements were fast, but not unrecognizable. I hadn’t
seen this kind of fight in the palace. This was pleasant in a weird
way, but I was still kind of worried for the same reason the girls
were. Well, all I know was that I hadn’t had so much excitement
and fun since I was “born”.

The fight was fair. Jasper had experience in a newborn army,

while Emmett was really strong, and according to the others,
the strongest vampire they ever met. Well, excluding the
newborn vampires. So, you would never know who would
win.
Soon enough, Jasper had Emmett in a headlock. Emmett
growled.

“Fine, you win.” Emmett said in defeat.

Jasper grinned and released Emmett. They both walked

toward us, Jasper grinning, Emmett pouting.

“Great job, Jazz.” Alice complimented. Jasper’s grin became

wider.

Shortly, we all went back into the house. Alice caught

Jasper’s eyes and he nodded. He and Alice walked outside
to Alice’s Porsche, hand in hand.
