With reference to the above, We the academic mentors Mr M.S.Satish Babu , Smt Uma Gowri & Mr Bharadeeshwarn like to recommend the following points to upgrade the quality of teaching in Theory class and Practical Labs uniformly in all the departments with the Coordination of concerned HoDs and faculty members. Key points to conduct Theory classes Teachers should follow the prescribed text books only List of questions with TWO,FIVE, EIGHT & SIXTEEN marks should be prepared in all the units separately . Teachers should collect FIVE years question papers in the subject and segregate the questions unit- wise and train the students to write the answers for the questions as per the ANSWER KEY provided by the university in the valuation centre. Every teacher should prepare a key answers for every test they conduct in their respective subjects. Motivate the teachers to attend the FDP programs conducted in contemporary Engineering colleges(At least Teachers having less than 3 years of experience ). Counseling the students by a teacher regularly by maintaining academic report and status is a must, which helps to measure the academic progress . Identify the weak students subjectwise and make them to write tests unitwise . Students should be trained to attend all the questions in the cycle test and model exam. Responsibilities of the Academic mentors to monitor and ensure the proper conduction Surprise visits to the classrooms by senior staffs to verify the class conduction. Department meeting should be conducted along with the academic mentor. Daily reports should be checked atleast once in TWO days. Conducting a meeting with the class representatives once in 15 days. Check all the above listed documents atleast once in a week by academic mentors. Reports to be submitted to DIRECTOR and PRINCIPAL once in a week. Conduction of Academic mentors meet once in 15 days.

Key points to conduct Practical Labs Preparation of Lab Manuals by the subject teacher before the commencement of the semester is a must. Teacher should execute the experiments and verify all the resources in need. Teachers should check the observation books and ask the student to explain the experiment before the conduction of experiment. Prepare the list of viva questions for that particular experiment. Evaluation format is to be prepared subjectwise which includes marks for observation/design/algorithm/flowchart/formulas/vivavoce/conduction & results.
