DOES THE JUDGMENT OF THE LIVING COMMENCE IN 1929-1930?

(Special Edition) 7 SC 7-12:19 There is danger of out being so overzealous to keep out of Babylon, says the founder of the S.D.A. church, that we shall commit her most noted blunder--that of sticking a stake and refusing to pull it up and advance. When we cease to unlearn errors, we shall fall like those who have gone before us. We have learned much, and no doubt there is much more for us to learn. ...It is the follow on and the go through spirit that will finally land the remnant without fault on the heavenly Mount Zion. My conclusion is that we should give up no Scripture truth, but that our false applications and interpretations of Scripture, and consequent false ideas of order and propriety, should be given up as fast as possible.--The Review and Herald, May 29, 1860. (7 SC 7-12:19) Inspiration declared In the light of the awful warnings here sounded, let every SROD believer gather up without delay the corrections given from time to time in The Symbolic Code. (3 SC 11, 12:9). This reading implicitly shows that Gods message did not burst at once. For example in 1930 V.T. Houteff teached that the special resurrection in Daniel 12:2, will occur at the 7th plague (1 SR 23), but later on, the prophet plainly declared that such special resurrection would be right after the deliverance of the 144,000 living saints. That is why, we need to accept the correction given by God from time to time without delay. The voice of Truth plainly told us, that whatever false applications and interpretations of Scripture, and consequent false ideas of order and propriety, should be given up as fast as possible. For it is only the follow on and the go through spirit that will finally land the remnant without fault on the heavenly Mount Zion then keep advancing in the light, and for certain you shall finally stand on Mt. Zion with the Lamb. (1 TG 8:28) Every Christian (Davidian) should remember that as the Truth is ever advancing, It will not be found today where It was yesterday, and that therefore Christs followers must advance with It. They will not follow the examples of the Jews and the Romans. (2 Ans. 80) For The Jews never rose higher than the height to which Moses led them. When Moses died, they as it were died with him so far as spiritual progress was concerned. Thus it was that they rejected and killed the prophets that came after Moses, not sparing the Son of God. (2 TG 26:21) 2 TG 26:20 ...But why are the Mohammedans still Mohammedans? Mohammedans are still Mohammedans, for the same reason that Buddhists are still Buddhists; that is, because after Mohammed died, they did just what the Buddhists did: In the progress of religion the Mohammedans stopped where Mohammed stopped at his tomb. They stopped there to make sure that their followers would never join another sect. They taught the people that there was to be no other prophet, that Mohammed was the last, that there was no need for another, that they had all the Truth to lead them to the pearly gates. Thus corrupt Mohammedanism drilled this false idea into the minds of the common people then, and still more corrupted Mohammedanism of today, like all other sects, including corrupt Adventism, still does the same. Thus it is that no sect as a people, but only as individuals, has ever accepted an additional message and this is the reason for the multi -sectarian world. (2 TG 26:20) 2 TG 26:16 As soon as Buddha died, though, his followers ran against a wall as it were, and their progress toward God, the Bible, and Christ, stopped where Buddha stopped. Indeed they could not have advanced further for they made the death of Buddha become their block against progress toward God. How did they do it? -It is a known fact that when people give credit of a Divine deed to a finite being, then their hope of another as great, or greater ever coming to help them is forever gone. They do not believe that God lives, that he will raise another even greater to lead them further, but believe that there is no need of another and no need for more Truth. Consequently as they do not expect another, when one comes they reject him. Thus the Buddhists put a stop to their spiritual progress. So you see that when the light that is in you becomes darkness, How great is that darkness! Matt. 6:23. (2 TG 26:16) Worshiping the dead prophets and killing the living ones is a brutal effort to block the progress of Truth, to deceive self and others. (2 TG 26:23). Now In considering the several scriptures bearing on this point and on the kindred points in question, we must

base our conclusions solely on the weight of evidence, so that we may not only know all the truth, but also teach nothing but the truth. (9 TR 6) Although, the SROD made it so plain, that in order to avoid the many snares we need to strictly adhere Gods method in studying the Scriptures, only through and by Inspiration. (3 TR 88, 89) That we of ourselves can never discover hidden truths of the Bible, on the contrary, that we should wait for the Spirit of Truth to come to teach us, which teaching is called Inspiration. (2 SC 12:6). But if we prefer a method which is contrary to His method (5 SC 6-12:10) the doctrines and interpretations which did not come through Inspiration they were only devisings of men. (1 TG 4:20) The SROD plainly declared: The acceptance of so-called truth, without inspiration, is the devil s trap of deception, and they who advocate such fallacious teachings are the hardest and most impossible ones to rescue from Satan s bottomless pit; for he makes them believe that confession of their errors would disqualify them for teachers, and dishonor their high standing. (2 SR 286) Plainly, then, whatever things Inspiration itself does not teach and interpret, are not worth remembering, teaching or even listening to. (15 TR 31, 32) The following quotation plainly shows that only Inspiration (a man called of God) can declare the truth and nothing but the truth. (2 SC 3, 4:13) Now let us study carefully, to ascertain clearly if the Judgment of the Living commence in 1929-1930. Let us ever remember that before a person can climb the ladder of Truth, he must first of all free himself from erroneous theories, which keep him bound in darkness. And to loose himself from such weights of error so as to reach the top step of the ladder of Truth, he must carefully investigate and prove all things in Open-Mindedness. (5 TR 6) Now, let us begin our investigation 2 SR 162 The cases of all who are sealed from 1929 to the final close of probation will be investigated before the throne in the heavenly sanctuary while living. The investigation commences after the fulfillment of Ezekiel 9. Those who are sealed from 1929 to the fulfillment of Ezekiel 9 (close of probation for the church), are living saints, 144,000 in number, who shall never die -- translated without tasting death. The class which neglected their opportunity were left without the seal to perish under the ruin of Ezekiel 9; Isaiah 63; and Isaiah 66:15-17. This example of the destruction of the sinners in the church is a type of the destruction of the sinners in the world after the close of probation. The great multitude of Revelation 7:9, living at the time of the close of probation for the world, shall also never die, of whom the 144,000 were a type. But all the wicked being left without the seal, shall perish. Hitherto is the end of the matter; Fear God [not man] and keep His commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. (Eccl. 12:13.) (2 SR 162) Inspiration never used the term all promiscuously without an accurate significance. The word all means does not exclude any, according to 1 SR 218. Let us use V.T. Houteff as our example, for if there is someone to be included in such sealing that begin in 1929 AD logically it must be applied to V.T. Houteff. Since the term used is all then of course, V.T. Houteff himself must be included with that term all. Now, the statement was The cases of all who are sealed from 1929 to the final close of probation will be investigated before the throne in the heavenly sanctuary while living. (2 SR 162) The phrase while living can no longer be applied after they died. But inspiration made it so plain, that those sealed ones will be investigated before the throne in the heavenly sanctuary while living or in other words while still alive. Now when would that be? Those who are sealed from 1929 to the fulfillment of Ezekiel 9 (close of probation for the church), are living saints, 144,000 in number, who shall never die -- translated without tasting death. (2 SR 162) It is clear as sunlight, that such investigation will occur after the fulfillment of Ezekiel 9 which is the close of probation for the church. There is no dispute that the pioneers of Davidians together with V.T. Houteff expected to be among the 144,000 living saints. But the pioneers are now dead, and yet probationary time in the church did not as yet close, then how could such statement be real, that they will be investigated after probation closes while living if they were now lying unconscious in their graves? So the question is not whether we want to change our minds or not, but whether we have to. (1 TG 13:7) Inspiration admonished us, that whatever false applications and interpretations of Scripture, and consequent false ideas of order and propriety, should be given up as fast as possible. R&H May 29, 1860 (7 SC 7-12:19).

But since, we should not give up any Scripture Truth, the statement must stand as it is, except the false applications. The SROD declared 3 TR 43 Pointing directly to the time that the investigative judgment shall take place among the living, Malachi parallels both parables in his prophecy: ...the Lord, Whom ye seek, shall suddenly come to His temple,...But who may abide the day of His coming? and who shall stand when He appeareth? for He is like a refiner s fire, and like fullers sope: and He shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver: and He shall purify the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver, that they may offer unto the Lord an offering in righteousness. Mal. 3:1-3. As the cleansings called for in the parables and in Malachi s prophecy have never taken place, the investigative judgment of the living is obviously, then, yet future. This investigative work is therefore occasioned by the work of separation in the earthly sanctuary (church), as brought to view also in Ezekiel 9. (3 TR 43) The statement is very plain the investigative judgment of the living is obviously, then, yet future. (3 TR 43) That even in 1944, the prophet declared although we are still in the time of the judgment of the dead. (2 Ans. 93) The date 1931 and the statement in question have no reference to the investigative judgment. The SROD sets no date either exact or approximate for the closing of the judgment of the dead or for the beginning of the judgment of the living (1 SC 7:8). The message sets no date, either exact or approximate, for the closing of the judgment of the dead, or for the beginning of the judgment of the living. (1 Ans. 94) Such evidences plainly show that V.T. Houteff himself never teached, that the Investigative Judgment of the Living commence in 19291930. The only thing that V.T. Houteff teached is that, the sealing of the 144,000 living saints commence in 1929 A.D. Now, let us read 2 Ans. 33, 34 IS THE SEALING ON? WHO ARE SEALED? ARE ANY BEYOND SINNING? Question No. 22: If the sealing message of the 144,000 has been going to the church since 1929, are part (or all) of the 144,000 already sealed? Also, if none can be sealed save they be free from sin, and if some are now being sealed, then have they passed beyond sinning? Answer: If the sealing is not in progress now, then the sealing message which we have borne since 1929 would no more be present truth now than would the proclamation of the Judgment of the dead have been present truth from 1844 to 1929, had not the dead been judged during that period. Definitely, then the message of the sealing and the sealing itself go hand in hand the same as the needle and the shuttle travel together until the seam is completed. The Lord commands the angel with the writers inkhorn to set a mark upon the foreheads of the men that sigh and that cry for all the abominations that be done in the midst thereof--in the church--so that when the men with the slaughter weapons start slaying, they may pass by those who have the mark. Thus, the sighing and crying since 1929 for the abominations in the church, has been the supreme evidence that we are living in the period of the sealing. (2 Ans. 33, 34) 5 TR 102 By that time it was understood that the statement, the sanctuary shall be cleansed, did not mean that Christ was to cleanse the earth in 1844, but rather that in fulfillment of Daniel 7:9, 10, He was to cleanse the heavenly sanctuary. This is the very event which opened the seals and sounded the trumpets, and which, as we have seen, John was told would be here-after. (See Revelation, chapters 4 and 5.) Possessed of this understanding, a small group of believers, who later called themselves Seventh-day Adventists, organized into a body, and zealously moved on with the prospect in view of gathering in the servants of our God (the 144,000). This work appeared to them to be an overwhelmingly great task, and it met with ridicule on every side. (5 TR 102) Both prophets had the same idea and expectation. It so because God has showed to E.G. White concerning the sealing of the 144,000, she expected that the sealing of the living saints commence in her days. The very first vision of E.G. White is concerning the sealing of the 144,000. In 1929-1930 the very first subject that comes through Inspiration is concerning the sealing of the 144,000. Therefore, such idea and expectation was only

borrowed by V.T. Houteff from E.G. White. Let us read 2 Ans. 78 Of necessity, any statements relative to a subject which is still out of sight in the unfolding of the Scroll, are made only in incidental terms of truth as it is at the time seen or commonly understood. And if the common understanding of these incidental statements be wrong, the writer cannot be held responsible for that which he has borrowed from others or seen but very dimly and therefore expressed very indefinitely. (2 Ans. 78) The statement If the sealing is not in progress now, then the sealing message which we have borne since 1929 would no more be present Truth now, is absolutely perfect. For the present Truth by which the 144,000 are to be sealed is the present Truth under the seventh seal, and not the present Truth under the sixth seal. The saints of God are sealed with present Truth in all ages, and whatever that present truth is, that is the seal. (1 SR 28) The lamps of fire, seven in number, present before the throne, represent completeness of the truth of God present truth revealed to every generation since the world began by which we are judged. Those who are obedient to all the light and truth given them, have come up to the requirements -- they are sealed, and cleared from the condemnation of the law of God. (2 SR 198) As there are seven seals in consecutive order, it is clear that our worlds history is divided into seven different periods. The judgment begins with the first and ends with the last. Evidently the first six seals complete the cases of those who were dead preceding the judgment, and while it is in session; but the seventh sealing period, being the last, must concern the living. (2 SR 202) What is the present truth under the seventh seal? 2 SR 164 When the judgment opened in 1844, as previously explained, the investigation began with the dead, and when that part of the work is finished, then commences the judgment of the living. While the investigation for the congregation of the dead is in progress, there can be no separation among the congregation of the living. But when our High Priest shall begin the atonement for the living, there must be a message of present truth -- sounding of the trumpet -- urging every one to lay hold on the Lamb of God (Christ) by which only, can he in figure, come to the sanctuary, confess his sin and secure his life. Unless the close of the judgment for the dead and the commencement for the living be made known to us, we would have no present truth while the judgment for the living is in session. Neither would such judgment be legal or just. He who fails to respond to the heavenly summons, will be left without the seal or covering of God, and therefore must be cut off from among His people, as prefigured by the services in the typical day of atonement. (2 SR 164) The statement definitely declared, that at the time when the judgment for the living is in session the knowledge concerning the closed of the judgment of the dead, and the commencement for the judgment of the living will be revealed, otherwise we would have no present Truth when the judgment of the living is in session. The mere fact that such knowledge had not been bestowed by God to V.T. Houteff, bears the evidence the Truth speaks of Itself, that judgment of the living did not commence in 1929-1930. Besides V.T. Houteff himself declared clearly, that he has no knowledge either exact or approximate, the close of the judgment of the dead, and the beginning of the judgment of the living. (1 Ans. 94) The word now in 2 Ans. 33, must be directly applied to the commencement of the judgment of the living. That the present Truth from 1929-1955 would no longer be the present Truth in the period of the judgment of the living. Although all present Truths since from the beginning are compacted as one under the seventh seal. And since we do not give up any Scripture truth, except the false applications, the statement would be 2 SR 162 The cases of all who are sealed at the commencement of the Judgment of the living to the final close of probation will be investigated before the throne in the heavenly sanctuary while living. The investigation commences after the fulfillment of Ezekiel 9. Those who are sealed from the commencement of the judgment of the living to the fulfillment of Ezekiel 9 (close of probation for the church) are living saints, 144,000 in number, who shall never die translated without seeing death. (2 SR 162) Now, when will The Judgment Of The Living Commence? 3 TR 43 Pointing directly to the time that the investigative judgment shall take place among the living, Malachi parallels both parables in his prophecy:

...the Lord, Whom ye seek, shall suddenly come to His temple,...But who may abide the day of His coming? and who shall stand when He appeareth? for He is like a refiners fire, and like fullers sope: and He shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver: and He shall purify the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver, that they may offer unto the Lord an offering in righteousness. Mal. 3:1-3. As the cleansings called for in the parables and in Malachis prophecy have never taken place, the investigative judgment of the living is obviously, then, yet future. This investigative work is therefore occasioned by the work of separation in the earthly sanctuary (church), as brought to view also in Ezekiel 9: (3 TR 43) 1 SC 16:2, 3 Answer: Jude 14 & 15 are explained in SRod, Vol. 2, p. 162, 241. However, we may add: the perfect fulfillment of this scripture embraces a period of time in which three judicial events are to expire: namely, first, the investigative judgment for the dead as He came to His heavenly temple in 1844; second, the investigative judgment for the living that is soon to take place; third, Christ s second coming and the judgment during the millennium, and at last the final execution of His judgment after the millennium. It takes all these events to perfectly fulfill the words: To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against Him. (Jude 15.) Malachi Three first applies as a type to the purification of the earthly temple in the days of Christ (John 2:14, 15), but the direct application finds its fulfillment in the antitype, that is, in the purification of the church when He comes to His earthly temple (church) to purify the sons of Levi (the ministry the 144,000). After this He comes for the investigative judgment of the living to His heavenly temple to blot out their sins. See The Shepherds Rod, Vol. 2, pp. 240-246, 214-221. (1 SC 16:2, 3) The SROD declared Malachi 3:1-13, is applicable to the judgment for the living. (2 SR 184) These verses pointing directly to the investigative judgment of the living, by which the prophet told us, it was still future in his days. (3 TR 43) Inspiration plainly stated, that the Investigative judgment of the living takes place, first in the earthly temple, then after this Christ will come to the heavenly temple. (1 SC 16:3) Therefore, we need to distinctly separate, the investigative judgment of the living which will take place on the earthly temple, and the investigative judgment of the living which will take place on the heavenly temple. Now, let us read 3 TR 47, 48 Inescapably, therefore, the Lords coming to His temple (Mal. 3:1-3), His coming with all His angels (Matt. 25), and His coming enthroned above the living creatures (Ezek. 1), -- all three representing the same event, as has been shown, -- take place at the beginning of the judgment of the living: the time in which the judicial activities of the heavenly sanctuary extend to the earthly sanctuary -- the church. (3 TR 47, 48) Both Ezekiel 1 and Malachi 3:1-3, are representing the same event, according to our reading. In 2 SR 184, plainly declared that Malachi 3:1-3 will occur on the Day of Atonement. Then obvious it is, this coming of Malachi 3:1-3 could not be the 7 days slaughtering, for the half-hour silence will occur during the Passover week, whereas Malachi 3:1-3 would be on the Day of Atonement. (2 SR 216; 184) 2 SR 171 The sealing of the 144,000 is at the closing of the judgment of the dead, and at the beginning of the judgment of the living. (2 SR 171) The beginning of the Investigative judgment of the living takes place at the time when the judicial activities in the heavenly sanctuary extended to the earthly sanctuary the church, according to 3 TR 47, 48. And the sealing of the 144,000 will be at the closing of the judgment of the dead, and at the beginning of the judgment of the living, according to 2 SR 171. Now, let us read 1934 Tract 3 pg. 76 Spirit Of Prophecy In Perfect Harmony Now to prove that Sister Whites writings are in perfect harmony with the testimonies of the prophets, we quote from The Great Controversy, p. 425, showing that the purification of the church took place while the investigative judgment of the dead was going on, and just before the commencement of the Loud Cry of the Third Angels Message -- the harvest: While the investigative judgment is going forward in heaven, while the sins of penitent believers are being removed from the sanctuary, there is to be a special work of purification, of putting away of sin, among Gods people upon earth....Then the church which our Lord at His coming is to receive to Himself will be a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing. Then she will look

forth as the morning, fair as the moon, clear as the sun, and terrible as an army with banners. She is to go forth into all the world, conquering and to conquer. -- Prophets and Kings, p. 725. (1934 Tract 3 pg. 76) 3 Ans. 66 Let every honest member ask the question, If the church herself is not saved ( Testimonies, Vol. 3, p. 253), not following Christ her Leader (Testimonies, Vol. 5, p. 217) and has become an harlot (Testimonies, Vol. 8, p. 250), how can she save others? The greatest need therefore is first to save those in the church, then those in the world. The special work of purification, of putting away of sin, among Gods people (The Great Controversy, p. 425), the closing work for the church, in the sealing time of the one hundred and forty-four thousand (Testimonies, Vol. 3, p. 266), must come first, then is to follow the sealing of those in the world. (3 Ans. 66) The phrase putting away of sin cannot be construed as the blotting out of sins. For inspir ation declared clearly Hence the investigative judgment for the living (blotting out of the sins) will begin after the sealing of the 144,000 (1934 Tract 3 pg. 75), whereas the putting away of sin takes place before you are sealed. And such occurrence putting away of sin is during the sealing of the 144,000. That unless you will completely eradicate all forms of sin in your life, you could never receive the seal of the living God. And the voice of Inspiration declared clearly, that during the sealing of the 144,000, the Investigative Judgment of the dead was still going on in the heavenly sanctuary. (1934 Tract 3 pg. 76) Such statement perfectly corroborates with 2 SR 171, that the sealing of the 144,000 takes place at the closing of the judgment of the dead. Here we can plainly see, that the Investigative Judgment of the Dead is divided into two sections, first the beginning work, and second the closing work. In 5 TR 109, 110, there are two classes to be judge in the period of the judgment of the dead, namely the temple and the altar. The temple are contained the dead from Adams time up to 1844. (5 TR 109, 110) Obviously therefore, the temple represents all who died under the first five seals those who will be resurrected in Rev. 20:5, 6. WHR 20 definitely implied, that the very first one who were considered in the judicial proceedings since 1844, are those represented by the temple the one who will come up in the resurrection of Rev. 20:5, 6. Whereas, the altar are those who will come up in the special resurrection of Daniel 12:2 (5 TR 109, 110) Therefore, the phrase when that part of the work is finished (2 SR 164), definitely points out to the first part of the work of the judgment of the dead the cases represented by the temple the first five seals. The statement is not to be known until the one is past and the other begun (1 Ans. 95), can only mean that all the sins of the righteous represented by the temple the first five seals is past (meaning finished), and then the cases represented by the altar (those who died under the sixth seal) has begun. (To help more clarify, please read our pamphlet BEHOLD THE BRIDEGROOM COMETH) Now, let us read 2 Ans. 36 IS NOT THE HARVEST THE END OF THE WORLD? Question No. 23: How can your teaching of the separation of tares from the wheat in the church be harmonized with the statement which says: The tares and the wheat are to grow together until the harvest; and the harvest is the end of probationary time....When the work of the gospel is completed, there immediately follows the separation between the good and the evil, and the destiny of each class is forever fixed? Christs Object Lessons, pp. 72, 123. Answer: Yes, according to the statement in question, the harvest is the end of probationary time taking place at, not after, the close of probation. And the fact, that the Investigative Judgment acts upon ones case after his lifes career in relation to salvation has ended and while probation still lingers, is another proof that the harvest is the last part of probationary time. This accords with Jeremiahs statement, The harvest is past, the summer is ended, and we are not saved. Jer. 8:20. It shows that the harvest is a period of time, having a beginning and ending, and that during its time men are saved. And Early Writings, p. 118, reveals that the Third Angel is the one who does the harvesting, while Matthew 13:30 shows also that the angels separate the tares from the wheat in the time of

harvest. (2 Ans. 36) The reading implied clearly, that the Investigative Judgment of the Living takes place in the period called harvest which is the end of the world. (3 TR 43) Let us connect 3 TR 64, 65 A harvest means the result of effort, of toil, the gathering of a crop -- reaping the result of labor and filling up the barns with grain. So rather than the years toil being finished at the beginning of the harvest, the heaviest labor of the year just then begins. And though harvest time is the shortest of all the periods of the harvest year, the work of reaping is not done in a moment; it takes time. The yield is not garnered by turning the field right into the barn; no, that would be a conglomerate mass instead of a harvest. First the sickle is put to the grain, and next the grain is bound into sheaves, then threshed, after which it is put into the barn; and thereafter the chaff and the tares are destroyed. This work being completed during the autumn, it shows that the harvest is a season of time after the summer is past, and that it is followed by the fruitless winter period. (3 TR 64, 65) (To have more definite understanding, please read our pamphlet THE HARVEST) The entire gospel history is illustrated by 12 parabolic months, according to 3 TR 54. And such period is divided into three, namely: the Sowing, Growing and Harvest. Now, let us read 3 TR 56, 57 The Son of man, He who soweth the good seed, is of course none other than Christ. But as He could not be called the Son of man before being born of a woman, He accordingly could not have sowed the good seed of the spiritual harvest until after His birth in Bethlehem, Judea. As His ministry -- His sowing of the good seed, the truth -- began right after His baptism (Matt. 4:17), therefore to establish the beginning of the parabolic harvest period, we must ascertain the date He was baptized. And after threescore and two weeks, prophesied Daniel, concerning Christs ministry and His death, shall Messiah be cut off, but not for Himself:... and He shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week He shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease. Dan. 9:26, 27. That this is prophetic time, reckoned by the year-day rule of Ezekiel 4:6, is seen from the fact that there were seven years from the time Christ was baptized to the time the apostles were permitted to take the gospel to the Gentiles. During this period, Christ confirmed or fulfilled the covenant. In the midst of the week, or at the end of three and one half years, He was to be crucified, thus causing the earthly sacrifice to cease. (3 TR 56, 57) Our reading definitely indicates, that the entire sowing period commence on Christs baptism and ended on Oct. 16, 34 A.D., the stoning of Stephen. But in 3 TR 58, declared The three and one half years from the beginning of Christs ministry to His crucifixion being the sowing time, and the harvest time being the end of the world, then the intervening period is the time for the growing and ripening of the grain Inspiration declared the harvest time is the shortest of all periods. (3 TR 65) The sowing time being consist of 3 years, according to 3 TR 58, then the harvest must be shorter than the sowing period being the shortest of all the periods. And the Investigative judgment of the living will take place in the period called harvest the last part of probationary time. (2 Ans. 36; 3 TR 42, 43) Then obvious it is, since the entire period of the Sowing consists of exactly 7 years, the harvest being the shortest must be shorter than 7 years. EW 58 My dear brethren and sisters, let the commandments of God and the testimony of Jesus Christ be in your minds continually and let them crowd out worldly thoughts and cares. When you lie down and when you rise up, let them be your meditation. Live and act wholly in reference to the coming of the Son of man. The sealing time is very short, and will soon be over. Now is the time, while the four angels are holding the four winds, to make our calling and election sure. (EW 58) Plainly, therefore, with such weighty evidences here amassed, there is manifestly but one conclusion possible, that since the Investigative Judgment of the Living takes place in the time called harvest (3 TR 43), by which

such period is the shortest of all periods (3 TR 65), the sealing of the 144,000 is very, very short in which such shortness should not exceed more than 7 years. 2 SR 240, 241 The Lord came to His temple in the most holy place in 1844 for the judgment of the dead, which was a fulfillment of Daniel 7:9, 10. Malachi refers to the judgment for the living, which is of the same events (judgment). For the prophet says: But who may abide the day of His coming? and who shall stand when he appeareth? for... he shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver: And shall purify the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver, that they may offer unto the Lord an offering in righteousness. (Mal. 3:2, 3.) As the dead cannot be purified, or offer gifts, it is evident that it is the purification of the church, for He shall purify the sons of Levi -- the priests -- the 144,000. Furthermore the Lord says: I will send my messenger, and as no messenger can be sent to the dead, it must be a message to the living. (2 SR 240, 241) If our God will not send any messenger to give the message to the dead, reciprocally God will not send a dead messenger to give a message to the living. (To have more information, please read our pamphlet THE ANTITYPICAL ELIJAH THE TISHBITE) 2 SC 7, 8:12 The churches may incompletely confederate almost any time, but the union of church and state (the image of the beast) will take place only after the investigative judgment of the dead is completed, for the fact that the anger of the nations (the time of trouble, Dan. 12:1), the wrath of God (the seven last plagues, Rev. 15:1, and the time to judge the dead (Dan. 8:14), are events separate and distinct, one following the other. Early Writings, p. 36. Therefore, the persecution against the church by the image beast arises in the time of the judgment of the living -- the time of the Loud Cry -- after the sealing of the 144,000. (2 SC 7, 8:12) This reading implicitly shows that at the commencement of the time of Trouble, the investigative judgment of the dead is completed. Then let us ascertain clearly, when such Time of Trouble commence. Let us read 3 TR 50, 51 Further Reasons For Both Judgments. As the cleansing of the heavenly sanctuary is a work of cleansing the books by blotting from them the names of both the backsliders and the tares, and as at the time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation, the only ones who shall be delivered are those whose names are found written in the book, the cleansing of the books, therefore, obviously takes place before the resurrection, and before the time of trouble such as never was. Thus the unfaithful dead will be left in their graves at the first resurrection, and the unfaithful living will be left without deliverance from the coming trouble. But were their names allowed to remain in the books, then according to the records either the wicked dead would have to be resurrected with the righteous, and the living wicked delivered with the living righteous or else both the righteous dead and the righteous living would have to be forsaken with them -- alternatives both of which, of course, are impossible; thus again making mandatory an absolute separation, as instanced in type in Joshuas time. (3 TR 50, 51) It is clear as sunlight, that before the Time of Trouble will commence, all the names of the wicked that had been entered in the Lambs book of life will then be completely blotted out. Let us read 2 SC 11:8 Consequently, when the earthly sanctuary is polluted it is necessary to cleanse the heavenly also. For an example, if we were to cleanse the earthly sanctuary, we would have to cast out those that pollute it, while at the same time those in heaven would have to cleanse the heavenly one by blotting out the names of the wicked in the church on earth. Thus, the proper term for such a work wou ld be, investigative judgment. (2 SC 11:8) When will the sinners in the church be taken out in the midst of them? 1 TG 3:3, 4 The Lords Supper was ordained in remembrance of the Lord s sacrifice, not to cleanse the partakers of it from their sins but to cleanse them from sinners, as is seen from the Passover in Egypt and from the fact that thereafter Judas no longer walked with the disciples. Plainly, then, the celebration of the ordinance brought blessing to the eleven, but damnation to the one. (1 TG 3:3, 4)

The antitypical Lords Supper is not to cleanse them from sins, but to cleanse them from sinners, according to our reading. But in heaven, the blotting out of names inspiration declared their names blotted out after the slaughter and just before the commencement of the judgment of the living saints. (2 SC 11:6). Therefore, the statement in 2 SC 11:8 saying at the same time those in heaven can only mean the same day but not the same hour. The sinners will be taken out from among Gods people at sunset, whereas the slaughtering at midnight, and the blotting out of names must be after midnight. To portray it vividly, let us make a little diagram.

Oct. 22, 2016 A.D. At sunset, during the "Lords Supper" the sinners will be taken from among Gods people.

Oct. 22, 2016 A.D. Right after midnight - all the names of the wicked who had been entered in the Lambs Book of life completely blotted out.

2 TG 12:29, 30 The only difference, you see, is that Daniel was shown the Judgment being set up, whereas John saw it in full session. The Revelation, moreover, in the following verses again and again endeavors to make us see that the event there portrayed is the Judgment in session: Fear God, and give glory to Him; for the hour of His judgment is come. And I saw thrones, John declares, and judgment was given unto them. Rev. 20:4. John truly penned it as a prophecy, but when it actually takes place then Gods agency on earth, the Spirit of Prophecy in the Church is to proclaim that the event has actually taken place. Since the records of both the dead and the living must be reviewed by the Judicial Tribunal, the First Angels Message (Rev. 14:6), must be proclaimed in both periods, in the period of the judgment of the dead, and by a loud cry in the period of the judgment of the living. The direct application of the First Angels Message, therefore, also the call to come out of Babylon, are actually made in the day the earth is lightened with the glory of the angel. (See Rev. 18:1-4). The Revelation, therefore, is to be more fully understood during the judgment of the living. The light that now shines on our path is an unmistakable evidence that we are approaching the time of the judgment of the living. (2 TG 12:29, 30) This reading was written Oct. 18, 1947, by which the prophet declared with unmistakable evidence that they are still approaching the time of the judgment of the living. Brethren, to declare something by which the prophet himself has not said so, is Laodiceanism of the worst kind. (GCS 23) With unmistakable facts, the prophet himself several times denied that the judgment of the living commence in 1930. At the time when somebody ask concerning the date 1931, if the judgment of the dead is closed and the judgment of the living begins, he clearly declared: The date 1931 and the statement in question have no reference to the investigative judgment. The SROD sets no date either exact or approximate for the closing of the judgment of the dead or for the beginning of the judgment of the living. The time of these events is not to be known until the one is past and the other begun. (1 SC 7:8). Now, let us read 3 TR 43 Pointing directly to the time that the investigative judgment shall take place among the living, Malachi parallels both parables in his prophecy:

the Lord, Whom ye seek, shall suddenly come to His temple,...But who may abide the day of His coming? and who shall stand when He appeareth? for He is like a refiners fire and like fullers sope: and He shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver: and He shall purify the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver, that they may offer unto the Lord an offering in righteousness. Mal. (1 SC 16:2, 3) Malachi 3:1-3 is pointing directly to the investigative judgment of the living, according to 3 TR 43, and not executive. The executive judgment in Malachi 3 is found in verse 4-6. The SROD made it so plain, that the investigative judgment of the living was yet future in the days of V.T. Houteff. And since our God did not intend to make the judgment known not until the judgment actually begins, seeing that the Scripture has inscribed in a present tense, otherwise such revelation would be grammatically incorrect. (1 SR 156, 157) Obviously therefore it utters the impossibility of V.T. Houteff of comprehending the entire nature of the event. He then declared So, while it was not exactly understood beforehand what the nature of the event would be, yet when the fullness of the time came and no other event occurred but this one, it was thereby identified as the one predicted in Ezekiel 4 in connection with the end of the 430 prophetic years when the scroll was to unroll another turn. (1 Ans. 95) Inspiration declared clearly that such unrolling of the scroll would be at the end of 430 years which was still future in 1930. (2 SR 275) And such unrolling of the scroll would be identical with that of 1930. (1 SC 7:8). Heres a little diagram

The first antitypical Moses at the age of 40 before he received the Rod is represented by E.G. White, spiritually born from 1850 + 40 = 1890 A.D., antitypical Moses was 40 years old. The second antitypical Moses with Gods Rod is V.T. Houteff. The only difference with Moses of old, is that Moses received the Rod of God immediately, whereas the antitypical Rod being a message was completely given from 1930 to 1955. Therefore, from the time the Rod was completely given there would be 40 years, then antitypical Moses died. Let us read 1 SR 94 Application Of The Lesson This last Moses is the unlearned Moses. Note, he is slow of speech, has no eloquence is of a slow tongue, and uncircumcised lips (untrained). He knows not how to approach Pharaoh. He shrinks with the thought of standing before the great monarch, like the mercury shrinks from the north wind, but though this Moses is handicapped, he has nerve; he is not a coward. He risks his life, for he was asked only once to take the fabulous serpent by the tail, and he did so. This Moses is not a crown prince, but a common shepherd only. The shepherd Moses is a type of men who are to bring about reformation and be u sed in the time of the Loud Cry, brought to view in the following quotations. Quoting Life Sketches, page 245: God is putting burdens upon more inexperienced shoulders. He is fitting them to be caretaking, to venture, to run risks also. Volume 5, page 82: He will raise up and exalt among us those who are taught rather by the unction of His Spirit, than by the outward training of scientific institutions. (1 SR 94) This last Moses could no longer be represented by one person, being inscribe in plural form men. Then obvious it is, they must be represented by V.T. Houteffs faithful associates who lead Gods people within the specified period of 40 years. Although it was a period of no new revelation of Truth, but within that period of time God feed them manna (the truth bestowed to V.T. Houteff) the bread from heaven. Within 40 years period the same Truth repeated, year by year and day by day, Gods people eating the same food manna, although there are some unfaithful Davidians who desired Quail which is private interpretations. Therefore in 1995 A.D. the third and the last Moses died. Although there are still some faithful Davidians who were still alive after 1995 A.D., but 100% they could not be represented as shepherds but rather as sheep. For the shepherd Moses being represented by men all of them died in 1995 A.D.
