Non-aqueous decontaminant GDS 2000. The new solution for special decon tasks.
Quick and efcient detoxication (C decontamination) of all known chemical warfare agents (from -30 C to +49 C). GDS 2000 is foreseen for the rapid and efcient detoxication of all known chemical warfare agents (including those with thickeners) adhering to the surfaces of defence material at a temperature ranging between approx. -30 C and +49 C. In this, it differs signicantly from decontamination agents with an aqueous basis (emulsions, solutions, foams). Taking the precise material properties of the vehicle or similar to be decontaminated, and the handling instructions into consideration, it is possible to decontaminate also material using GDS 2000, which can usually not be decontaminated using other decon agents or methods.

Compared to conventional decon agents, GDS 2000 has signicantly improved properties with regard to storage, handling, efciency, application and compatibility with the material. It is biologically degradable (degradation rate within 28 days: 88 %) and fulls the requirements of water pollution class 1 (low hazard for water). GDS 2000 is available ready for use. The complete detoxication of a combat tank only requires approx.12 24 l of GDS 2000.

The comparatively high reactivity of GDS 2000, even at low temperatures, minimises the required reaction time. This leads to a drastic reduction of the necessary decontamination times and enables increased throughput of the vehicles, equipment, etc., subject to decontamination.
