Sangha Retreat and Enlightened World
are public programs taught by Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche and Acharyas.

Level 1 The Art of Being Human


A half weekend open to all.

Meditation in Everyday Life (MIEL)


Five weekly classes or one weekend, open to all.

Dathn
One month retreat based on sitting meditation practice, including teachings, periods of silence and contemplative meals (oryoki). Open to all practitioners with the recommendation of their meditation instructor or a teacher.

Level 2 Birth of the Warrior


One weekend.

Windhorse
One weekend.

These courses are taken alongside the weekends of T he Way of Shambhala II, and in the following order:

1) Karma and the Nidanas 2) Lojong 3) Lineage and Devotion

Vajrayana Seminary Prerequisites: Dathn, Sutrayana Seminary, Warrior Assembly, Entering the Vajra World course, refuge and bodhisattva vows
Having done this seminary you will become what we call a tantrika.

Contentment in Everyday Life (CIEL)


Five weekly classes or one weekend, open to all.

One weekend.

are offered in parallel to these programs for those who wish to deepen their understanding of Buddhist teachings on topics such as karma, egolessness, compassion, etc.

Three day weekend.

Five weekly classes or one weekend, open to those who have done JIEL. Levels 1-4 strongly recommended.

Warrior Assembly
Additional prerequisites: completion of The Way of Shambhala I and II, weekthn and membership in Shambhala.

Vows
Refuge Vow
Those who would like to officially mark their entrance to the Buddhist path can request to take their refuge vow at the occasion of a program with an Acharya. Contact your meditation instructor. The refuge weekend program with teachings on The Three Jewels is recommended for those contemplating taking the vow.

Sutrayana Seminary Prerequisites: The Way of Shambhala I and II, a dathn, study of the four courses above, and membership in Shambhala. The Golden Key text will also be received and studied during Sutrayana Seminary.

Further sadhana practice and enlightened acitvity.

Wisdom in Everyday Life (WIEL)


Five weekly classes or one weekend, open to those who have done FIEL. Levels 1-5 strongly recommended.

Rigden Weekend
One weekend taught by an Acharya. Prerequisite: Completion of all of The Way of Shambhala I, the weekends and courses.

Access to the Vajrayana Path

Bodhisattva Vow
Prerequisite: Refuge vow at least six months prior, preliminary interview with your meditation instructor.

Access to The Way of Shambhala II
