Compact Fluorescent Lamps

Philips lighting boasts of a full range of Compact Fluorescent Lamps (CFL). The energy efficient, long lasting properties with significant versatility and cost saving advantages over alternative light sources, make these lamps the most appropriate lighting solutions for today.

The range can be broadly classified in two categories. Retrofit, which can directly replace ordinary bulbs like GLS 25W to 100W and Non Retrofit, which require special luminaires with built in ballasts and hence are suitable for new light points. We endeavour continuously to pack as much light as possible in these compact albeit ecofriendly products.

PL-S 2 pin Single ended non - integrated energy efficient compact fluorescent lamps with two very narrow tubes welded together. The electronic ballast of the PL E-T lamps incorporates an integrated circuit which improves the independence of lamp life of a fast switching (provided off-time is not <10 seconds) and gives a starting time of < 1 second. ! Negligible (< 5%) influence of the mains voltage variation (10%) on the lamps luminous flux ! Minimum mains voltage required to ignite is 170V (AC) and for the lamp to function after ignition is 180V (AC). ! 70% light output after 1 minute ! Average lamp life of 15,000 hours (12,000 hours for cool daylight type). ! Average switch life of over 20,000 switches. ! Lumen maintenance of 85% at 5000 hours and 75% at 12,000 hours. ! Approx. 80% less energy consumption than the incandescent lamps they replace. The lamps are energy class A (B for cool daylight types) in the European energy efficiency labeling. ! For optimum performance the lamps must be operated at 300-340 V DC. ! The lamps will operate at lower voltages but with a reduced performance. Maximum allowed operating voltage is 355 V DC. ! The recommended range of ambient temperatures is -150C to +550C for base up, and +50C to 550C for base down applications. ! Due to the use of amalgam technology, the light output is almost constant (> 80%) over the recommended range of ambient temperatures. !
