International Institute of Information Technology

The International Institute of Information Technology, Hyderabad (IIIT-H) is an autonomous university founded in 1998. It was set up as a not-for-profit public private partnership (N-PPP) and is the first IIIT to be set up (under this model) in India.

Ranked no.1 on placement in the list of top technical schools in India by Dataquest for 2012 and 2011. In 2011 and 2012, IIIT Hyderabad was ranked no.1 in Andhra Pradesh, by Careers360, a magazine of the Outlook group. nd Deccan Chronicle ranked IIIT Hyderabad 2 in their 2012 survey of Top Engineering Colleges in South India.

Centre for Computational Natural Sciences and Bioinformatics (CCNSB)

The ever increasing computational power and recent advances in computer science, in fields of distributed computing, networking, and database management, have inspired the centre to explore the application of these newer technologies and methods to understand the functioning of complex physical, chemical and biological systems. Sub-areas : Chemical dynamics and quantum electronic structure analysis. Computational studies of structures, interactions and dynamics of biomolecules. Bioinformatics and systems biology: algorithm and database development for genomics, proteomics and metabolomics. Nanotechnology: Synthesis, characterization, surface modification and applications of nanomaterials. Theoretical studies in chemical, biological and material science for simulating equilibrium and non-equilibrium processes.

LIBRARY

Our 66 acres campus, located on the main Gachibowli road (also called the Old Bombay highway) is well connected by bus and is on the route for the proposed metro rail. We are surrounded by many academic and research institutions like the Hyderabad Central University, Indian School of Business (ISB), TCS-CMC, Indian Immunologicals and Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Development Banking (JNIDB), and are minutes away from the bustling HiTech City Center and Lingampally

The Institute has wellequipped, air-conditioned computer laboratories allocated batch-wise to the students. Researchers have 24 hours access to the computational facilities.

The Library has a large collection of Reference Books, Text Books, Technical reports, Standards, Literature books and CDROMS.A digital library is also maintained.
