When bright young minds cant afford college, America pays the price -Arthur Ashe
Dear Friends, I know that paying for college can be an expensive and daunting proposition. It is my goal to ensure that college is affordable for all students because todays students are tomorrows leaders. With that in mind, I am delighted to share the enclosed guide that contains information about college and postgraduate scholarships and internships that are available in our community. This guide contains information about internships and scholarships in a wide range of interest areas including law, science, the media, arts, entertainment and corporate interest. There are also opportunities available at the United Nations and in City and State government as well as opportunities abroad. As the New York State Senate Minority Leader, I am proud to be able to provide this important guide for students and parents. It is my hope that you will take advantage of this valuable resource as you journey toward academic success and personal prosperity. Finally, I would like to take this opportunity to gratefully acknowledge the staff of Assemblymember Peter Rivera for their outstanding work on this guide. I wish you every success in your future endeavors. Sincerely,
Opportunities Abroad
