Apple Crisp (Apple Betty) 4 cups sliced, peeled apples Or 18 oz can pie apples, drained cup orange juice

e 1 cup sugar cup flour t. cinnamon t. nutmeg Dash salt cup butter (1/2 c. originally) Mound apples in buttered 9 in pie plate; sprinkle with orange juice. Combine sugar, flour, spices, and salt; cut in butter until mixture is crumbly; sprinkle over apples. Bake at 375 for 45 minutes or till apples are tender and topping is crisp. Serve warm with ice cream. Serves 6

Chicken and Biscuits cup chopped onion 6 T butter cup flour 3 cups chicken broth 3 cups cubed cooked chicken 1 can peas & carrots, if desired

Cook onion in butter till tender. Blend in flour and salt. Add broth all at once. Cook and stir till thick and bubbly; add remaining ingredients. Heat till bubbly again. Pour into 9 in square dish. Breadmaker Butter Rich Rolls 1 cup milk cup butter, softened 1/3 cup sugar 2 eggs, lightly beaten t. salt 4 cups flour 1 pkg yeast

Into baking pan pour mild and butter; add sugar, eggs, and salt. Measure flour into pan. Sprinkle yeast over flour. Set breadmaker on roll setting. Process. When finished, turn dough onto lightly floured surface and shape as desired. Let stand 15+ minutes. Bake in preheated 375 oven for 8-20 minutes, depending on shape.

Chicken Zucchini Stuffing Casserole 1 pkg stuffing mix cup butter, melted 3 cups diced zucchini 2 cups cubed, cooked chicken 1 can cream of chicken soup, undilut. 1 med carrot, shredded cup chopped onion cup sour cream

In large bowl, combine stuffing mix and butter. Set aside cup for topping. Add the zucchini, chicken, soup, carrot, onion and sour cream to the remaining stuffing mixture. Put in a greased 2-qt. baking dish. Sprinkle with reserved stuffing mixture. Bake, uncovered, at 350 for 40-45 min or until golden brown and bubbly.

Mindys Sugar Cookies Cream together the following: 2 cups sugar 8 oz cream cheese 1 cup shortening 1 cup butter

Mix together. Roll out and cut into shapes. Bake at 350 for about 10 minutes.

BYU Mint Brownies 1 cup margarine cocoa 2 T honey 4 eggs 2 cups sugar 1 cup flour T baking powder t salt 1 cup chopped walnuts 12 oz chocolate icing

Mint Icing 5 T margarine Dash of salt 3 T milk 1 T light corn syrup 2-1/3 cup powdered sugar t mint extract 1-2 drops green food coloring

1. Melt margarine and mix in cocoa .Allow to cool. Add honey, eggs, sugar, flour, baking powder, and salt. Mix well. Add nuts. Pour batter into a greased 9 by 13 pan. Bake at 350 for 25 minutes. Cool. 2. Prepare mint icing: soften margarine. Add salt, corn syrup, and powdered sugar. Beat until smooth and fluffy. Add mint extract and food coloring. Mix. Add milk gradually until the consistency is a little thinner than cake icing. 3. Spread mint icing over brownies Place brownies in the freezer for a short time to stiffen the icing. Remove from the freezer and carefully add a layer of chocolate icing.

Baked Caramel Popcorn 1 cup butter 2 cups brown sugar cup corn syrup 1 t salt t baking soda 1 t vanilla 5 quarts popped corn

Melt butter, stir in brown sugar, corn syrup, and salt. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Boil with no stirring 4 minutes. Remove from heat-stir in soda and vanilla. Pour in a thin stream over popcorn, stirring to coat. Put in shallow baking dishes. Bake I hr at 250, stirring every 15 minutes. Loosen from bottom of dishes before cooling. Cool and break up.

Yuletide Bars Preheat oven to 350 cup butter 2 cups graham cracker crumbs 1 + chocolate & butterscotch chips 1 can sweetened condensed milk

Melt butter 13 x 9 baking pan in oven; remove. Sprinkle graham cracker crumbs over butter. Stir well. Press onto bottom of pan. Sprinkle with chips. Pour sweetened condensed milk evenly over top. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes or until golden brown. Cool completely on wire rack.

Corn Bread

1 cups sugar 4 T. cornmeal(or mix) 3 cups bisquik t baking powder

2 cubes butter, melted 1 cups milk 3 eggs

Stir dry ingredients together. Blend liquid ingredients well and add to dry ingredients, barely mixing. Bake in an ungreased 9 X 13 at 350 for 30 min.

Chex Muddy Buddies 9 cups of any Chex cereal 1 cup semi sweet chocolate chips c peanut butter Pour cereals into large bowl; set aside. In one quart bowl combine chips, peanut butter, and margarine. Microwave on high 1 to 1 minutes or until smooth, stirring after 1 minute. Stir in vanilla. Pour chocolate mixture over cereals, stirring until all pieces are evenly coated. Pour cereal mixture into large zip lock bag with powdered sugar. Seal and shake until well coated. Spread on waxed paper to cool. You may melt in a small saucepan, rather than in the microwave. Makes 9 cups. cup butter or margarine 1 t. vanilla extract 1 cups powdered sugar
