IFLA (Infocom Future Leadership Awards) is an open paper writing competition for management students. Papers are invited from first and final year full-time students of post-graduate management programmes. Six best entries will be selected. Details pertaining to the topic and the award details are mentioned below.
Topic: Brief on the topic: Empowerment Empowerment is increasingly being recognized as a key factor in unleashing creativity, ideas and growth. Empowerment at any level is ever transforming and all pervasive, whether be it social or economical; at community level or national level; at a personal or professional level, for organizations or for institutions. It can be through technological means or simply through reinvention of processes. The crux of empowerment lies in the two faced role it plays firstly the way to empower people, capacitating each individual as a unit and secondly, the role empowerment plays in unleashing ideas garnering growth for the nation and the world at large. Empowerment will encompass digital, technological, social, gender based, education and occupational aspects and many more wherein the stress will be to enable the pillars of society that will help build an empowered world. Your paper should focus on how to empower as well as the role empowerment plays in achieving growth. 3000 words per paper Word document only. Best paper USD 4000 Second prize USD 2000 Third and fourth prize USD 1500 each Fifth and sixth prize USD 1000 each The Top six winners will get an all-expenses paid trip to Calcutta, to collect the awards. Authors of the top six papers will be presented a trophy and a certificate & will present their papers at the INFOCOM 2013 Conference in Calcutta. The top 15 papers would also be published in the form of the IFLA 2013 Compendium
