Dear Friends of David London:

Here we are again with an up-date on the work that Bro. David London is doing in Georgetown, Guyana. You will note in his letter that he plans to arrive in the States May 12o I already have some requests for speaking engagements- May I suggest that if you want David for a particular date that you contact me right away.

I am happy to report that of the $4620 we had to borrow to purchase the property in Georgetown, we have paid back all but SI69O. V/e would like very much to erase this debt as soon as possible- If you can give an extra donation for this it will be greatly appreciated. Money for this should be sent to rae (Robert Tinsky), P- 0Box 125, Oblong, 111., 62449. Checks should be made out to First Christian Church
David London Building Fund. Money for his monthly support should still be sent to Mrs. Norraa Daum, 444 Evans Rd., Marion, Ohio 43302.

GUYANA MISSION OF CHURCHES OF CHRIST

Dear Brethren,

March, April, May, 1979

After about three months of unplanned silence and disappointments to both our Brethren in the U. S. and to myself, the'way for communication and explanation is thanki^iy thrown open again- Brethren, my sincere hope is that Satan who made it impossible or
month of May, did not succeed disrupting the sweet and harmonious relationship between
Brethren who love us and whom we love. My disappointment in coming in May is truly me to keep appointments with the Churches in Florida, Kansas, and elsewhere in the

VJHERE THERE IS VISION THERE IS ALSO SAFETY.

Dear Brethren:

AN TIPDATS ON Mlf ITINERARY,

Many thanks for the very packed schedule you accorded me. By the time you receive this update on my itinerary I \ri.ll have reported to at least twenty audiences and congregations v/ith a mininniin total of five thousand brethren v/ho believe in our Lord tj,
second coming, who believe that time is indeed short, who believe that the v/eather

for reaping the Lord's Harvest is strategically Nov/, and who also were informed that
what we do nov/ quickly could decid the destiny of the Lord's Chui^h in Guyana. Under continual emotional stress I reported the fact that the precarious pivotal situation of the Guyana I-Iission of Churches of Christ in Guyana demands of us

immediate, sacrificial, spontaneous attention, and actions as exemplified by the

Crestline Congregation who, though just out of a building program and perhaps deeply
indebt, rightly gave our grave situation the top priority action it demands. Also,

I must make mention of the magnanimous gesture of a Brother I met at Ozark Bible

College who was due that morning at Chapel Service to receive that offering for his
mission in Africa but turned it over to the Guyana Mission instead. We yet need
$23,500.00 to hit oiu: goal of $25,000.00.

Concernedly, my time in the U. S. is running out. But as yet I know not the mand of
other Brethren who though having excellent plans to help, continue to keep me in

unintentional suspense, wondering if my strenous effort is bearing comparable fruit.

To all my Brethren; will you please let me know by the end of October if we would be able to pay for the property so that remodelling can begin SOON. Please mail your

sum to Mr. Robert Tinsky (Minister), P. 0. Box 125, Oblong, Illinois 62^^49personal support continues to be sent to my Forwarding Lady, Mrs- Paul Daum, 444

Dear iRriends of David London:

November.

David's tour of the,States is almost over.

The response to the appeal to pay off the indebtedness has not met v/ith as

He plans to return to Guyana sometime in

great a success as he had hoped foro The sooner this debt is paid off the sooner the brethren cam remodel the building amd make it more usable for church purposes <. I would appeal to you on his behalf to help in this matter as the Lord enables you to do
so

I am happy to report that the loan for the down payment has been paid off Thanks so much for your faithfulness in this matter We were able to pay off the loan about c.
month before i t came due

I also want to report that, the Lord willing, Thelraa and I plan to visit Guyana- I will be preaching for a week at Georgetovm and then will speak at the three churches formerly served by David - Leeds, Philippi and Zambia- Our plans are to go the first part of February. This will enable me to give more information about the work.
Very few Americans have ever visited this work. Reggie Thomas and his co-v/orkers have led some revival meetings there- A few others have visited. David has been

wanting me to visit the country for the past ten years- Please pray for ovr safety of travel and that God will use us to strengthen the brethren and to reach new people
for our Lordo
