CLASS OVERVIEW
Welcome to English 1! The primary goal of this course is to assist students in developing critical thinking skills as they read, write, and discuss various forms of literature. Students will be asked to make their own interpretations and assumptions about the world we live in as seen through the eyes of many different authors with many different styles of expression. As freshman year is the initial stage of the high school experience, they will work to strengthen and master skills that will help them be successful throughout high school and beyond.
