6 Sept - 2 Nov Opening night 5 Sept, 6-8pm with screening of Man Of Aran at 8.30. Modern Languages presents the work of 5 artists & designers with varying relationships to Ireland. Coming from as far afield as Japan & Canada these artists offer new interpretations of Irish craft.

Retelling the myth of Europa, a Phoenician princess who was abducted by Zeus in the guise of a bull, this new play links Mediterranean and Celtic folklore in an international artistic collaboration which celebrates the contribution island communities from Greece to the Hebrides have made to civilisation. Dynamic and absurd theatre about forgery, castration and blind drunkenness. Liz and Jim are smalltime con artists who need 250,000 to buy their way out of a turf war. LAURENCE FOX BLAS FESTIVAL


An International celebration of Highland music and Gaelic language, with Donald Black Scotlands top harmonica player and his band, and two world-renowned Mod Gold Medallists - Paul McCallum from South Uist, and Maggie Macdonald, one of the Campbells of Greepe of Skye.

Laurence, scion of an acting dynasty - son of actor James and nephew of Edward and Robert, cousin of Freddie as well as Emilia - is better known as Lewis prime-time alter ego, James Hathaway. His wife, Billie Piper, says his music is a cross between Coldplay and Empire of the Sun. Truly very good. Opening night for Mull Theatres autumn tour! A delightful, funny and bittersweet tale by Michael Healey about a young actor who arrives on a small farm to research a role. He moves in with two middle aged farmers and finds himself embroiled in their complex histories as he uncovers a tragic past, riddled with secrecy, heartbreak and loss. THE BARONESS

At the age of 62, Karen Blixen, author of Out of Africa, met the 29- year-old and newly married poet, Thorkild Bjrnvig. They shared a powerful, dangerous and intimate friendship which fell apart after six years. Dogstar Theatres play is based on their relationship, and stars Roberta Taylor (from Eastenders and The Bill). With music by Aidan ORourke. (age 14+) Tue 24 Sept, Mull Theatre, 8pm Tickets 9/6
