3. COMMISSION & PAYMENT TERMS
A. 15% discount allowed from commissionable rates to accredited
advertising agencies.
B. Service charge of 1.5% if account is not paid within 30 days.
C. Cash with copy required until credit approval.
4. POLICY - ALL CLASSIFICATIONS
A. The subject matter, form, size, wording, illustration and typog-
raphy of all advertising copy received by Phoenixville
Newspapers shall be subject to approval, revision, classification,
cancellation or rejection at any time by Phoenixville Newspapers
in its sole and absolute descretion. Previous acceptance of any
advertising copy by Phoenixville Newspapers will not operate as
a waiver of Phoenixville Newspapers’ rights hereunder to edit,
revise, classify, cancel or reject any advertising copy at any time.
No liability shall attach to the General Manager of Phoenixville
Newspapers for interruption of publication or limitation of size
and/or number of pages printed due to shortage of material, fail-
ure of transportation, flood, fire, riots, strikes, acts of God, or
other cause beyond its control.
B. The General Manager reserves the right to change advertising
rates upon 30-day written notice.
C. Advertising simulating news style is required to carry the word
“advertisement” completely spelled out across the top of the ad.
The Phoenix news typeface cannot be used in ad copy.
D. Phoenixville Newspapers assumes no financial responsibility for
typographical errors or omission of advertisements other than to
publish a correction or offer additional future insertion space to
the extent of the error. Phoenixville Newspapers’ liability for
errors on multiple insertions will not extend beyond the first
insertion. Phoenixville Newspapers will not be responsible for
errors in copy received from other publications unless the correc-
tions are requested prior to deadline.
E. Every effort will be made to accommodate reasonable position
requests. Failure to meet position requests will not constitute
cause for adjustment, refund or rerun. A 25% premium charge
will GUARANTEE position. Ask your sales representative for
details.
F. Advertiser hereby warrants and represents that the advertisement
is neither false nor defamatory. Advertiser agrees to indemnity
and hold harmless the General Manager from and against any
cost or expense, including legal fees and court costs, which are
incurred as a result of or in connection with any claim or action
brought against the General Manager which arises out of any
alleged false or defamatory matter.
G. No brokered space accepted.
H. All classifications Marketplace will be added to all pricing
unless otherwise requested to be removed by the customer.
