Shenzhen(China)-UAE Investment Cooperation Seminar

Introduction In the late 1970s, Shenzhen was a small fishing village, but after being designated as a Special Economic Zone, its population has grown to more than 10million people today, which is one of Chinas most developed and one of the worlds fastest-growing cities. Shenzhens average annual GDP growth rate reached 25 percent over the past three decades. In 2012, the citys GDP surpassed US$200billion, with its per capita GDP reaching nearly US$20,000. Meanwhile, the total volume of Shenzhens imports and exports reached US$47billion, which ranked top among Chinese mainland cities for the past 20 years. The city has so far built an economy based on high-tech industries, advanced manufacturing and modern service clusters. In order to Promote Shenzhens industry transformation and upgrading process to UAE institutions and enterprises, which further facilitate co-innovation development between UAE and Shenzhen.
