Fence Drill All students may practice at one time. If using a wall for this drill, use cloth covered balls such as Rag Ball or an incredible ball. If using a fence or a net, provide the students with several balls each because the balls will not rebound. The students also have to work in pairs in a peer (reciprocal) teaching setting. The partner at the fence observes the throwers performance and suggests corrections based on the Key Success. Give each pair of partners with 5 balls. The thrower delivers 5 consecutive balls, while the observer looks for consistent performance error. Equipment Gloves ( 1 per student)

Instructions Stand 20 feet from the fence. Repeat the phrase Turn, Step, and Throw to yourself as you throw the ball against the wall. Concentrate on your form. Use full range of motion for your throw. Make the entire throwing act one smooth, continuous motion.

Student options Work with a partner. At home, practice your throwing technique against the front steps. Use a tennis ball or any other kind of ball that do not harm the surface that you are throwing against it.
