Press Release:
Contact: Kathie Holsenbeck September 3, 2013 New York, NY Cafe Buunni, the flagship cafe for Buunni Coffee LLC.. (www.buunnicoffee.com), is celebrating its first year of business the second week of September. Cafe Buunni opened last year in the Hudson Heights micro-neighborhood of Washington Heights at Pinehurst and 187th street in Manhattan to great fanfare as the first independant fair-trade organic coffee shop in the neighborhood and also as the first subscription and free coffee bean delivery service in the area. On opening day, the line was literally out the door as coffee culturestarved upper Manhattanites clamored for their first cup. Caf Buunni instantly became a neighborhood favorite, not just for the specialty coffee but also because of what its brought to the community: a place to meet, hang out, study, conduct business and a great stop off for visitors on their way to the Cloisters and Fort Tryon Park. With 2012s additional openings of Saggios and Le Cheile on 181st St., and then again this year with Mac Morans Rusty Mackeral next door on 187th St., up-state Manhattan is getting a makeover and we want you to check it out firsthand. Members of the press are invited to our private party Thursday, September 12, 2013 from 6 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Enjoy savory and sweet bites to eat plus wine and coffee cocktails. Guests will also receive a gift bag of Buunni Coffee samples and other goodies to take home. Thenand heres the newsworthy partCafe Buunni wants to show their appreciation for the hood by GIVING AWAY FREE COFFEE, ESPRESSO, AND TEA BEVERAGES OF ANY TYPE from 12:00 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 15, 2013. This means free lattes, machiattos, espressos, cafe au laits, herbal teas, etc. etc. for anyone who drops by. Cafe Buunni will also unveil their Anniversary Blend at a discounted rate for half- and full-pound bags. While opening a business in Washington Heights changing commercial real estate market might seem daunting, businesses like Cafe Buunni are changing the landscape of Upper Manhattan to match other culinarily sophisticated neighborhoods throughout the five bouroughs.
