Basis of Hinduism

Dr.T.V.Rao MD
The Hindu religion is a founded on Vedic principles which rarely gives emphasis on any individual and accommodated every one with diverse views. This is the most important and valuable specialty of Hinduism that it has not closed itself inside any contours, but is the realistic representation of the limitlessness of knowledge and experience, it is absolutely open minded. This is the religion that calls let the good things come from all the directions of the world. Thus this religion nurtured the good concepts with a neutral mind-set. Hinduism is a dharma (discipline) than a religion. Various religions stand over this dharma. In general this is not the religion of just postulations. The ever-growing thought process in the religion has contributed to off shoot of several religious sects to suit any section of the society. Many Hindu ideals are doctored in Mahabharata, The great epic Mahabharata is a reflection of oneself in the world, every one of us are there in the scripture, but play roles to suit our needs and ambitions for future. Still the world runs with self-determination with lesser faith in the almighty which lead to growing crisis in the society, and degradation of Hinduism. The reasons for degradation of Hinduism in the society, has been declared by Vivekananda to be symptoms of disease caused by lack of knowledge on the scriptures, leading to a society with full of conflict, quarrel, dissatisfied with life after having many materialistic possessions. As Swami put it that the real solution to the problem of mankind lie not in the reach of the socio political or technical order but to teach metaphysics and religion. Apart from Upanishads and Vedas, the doctrine of Bhagvad Gita made the man to realise that human actions are the principle purpose of human living, but liberates the man from dogmatic ideas and ideals to attain Moksha, which is possible to every aspirant with practice of pure love to god and concern for fellow humans. A cheerful life of selflessness, activities dedicating to God should practice sadhana by detecting the ego in self and whenever it rises surrender it unto the Lord, Sri Ramakrishna said all troubles come to an end when the Ego dies, and through Ego a man gets grabbed by the neck and drowned in the ocean of worldliness. When I " dies, then only do stress and strain disappear only this " I " that creates all distress and confusion leads mental agony. However the action and reaction are determined by ideas with which we work in world. Many renounce all anxieties for the fruits of action and act sincerely with all heart with a strength of mind and with complete dedication, wherever one has been placed. But many of us give up our mission of life in middle, with lack of patience, and lack of faith in GOD The people who have attained Moksha left everything to will of GOD surrendering to the Almighty and carrying on with our duty will open the roads of Moksha. True belief commands our path, and corrects all the errors we make in life. To explain in simple understanding that we must continue to work and the quality of work depends upon the beauty of our emotions behind it. The greatest personalities who changed the history on this planet were guided by great principles and concern for fellow humans. If the purpose of creation is truly understood, man is a dynamic creation of nature working for the world, the thought on God can inspire us to work better. Todays world is in turbulence because action and reaction of individuals differ from moment to moment, every individual acts differently at different times even though circumstances remain the same. However the Karmapala (benefits of action) determined by ideas with which we work in world. Many get disappointed with a thought; can we change and spiritualize the world? Certainly we

cannot change anything in this written order of the God and it continues to run with will of the God. Better to be convinced and to spiritualize ourselves. Simple way is to remain our minds free from all attractions, repulsions, all greed, lust and all attachments; we are certainly near to God. Every day we are floating in the sea of desires, if we can practice ourselves to equilibrium and discover the calmness and stillness within ourselves, we would see God both within and without. Hinduism does not invent God but it discovers. It neither stops at the human boundary confused and failing to go forward, but gets to the divine aspects supported by facts. This makes their findings more logical and realistic and even the super human descriptions experiencable if not explainable. As per Hinduism, the life on earth is not a discrete onetime event. It is just one episode in the play. There would be multiple appearances (births) before the soul finally takes leave from the cycle. The though is convinces any one we differ from everyone around even with our own sisters and brothers born in the family. The appearance of the soul in any of such forms is called reincarnation. After so many births when the soul is freed of any more reincarnation, it is in the state of mukti or liberation. This is the ultimate state. In the life we see in this world, we work to get the results. The work is the action and the result is fruit of it. This is exactly what karma is. The fruit may come in a minute in a day, in a week, in a year or much later that the delay may even make one forget the action that triggered the fruit got! If there is no correlation between the action and the fruit, won't the world be in a mess? This theory would also explain why unexpected things happen - either good or bad. As the situation undergoing due to the function of various past deeds, never forget we reap as we sow .Best of the fruits of action are certain to happen if we have little patience and faith in Almighty who has a responsibility to every living creature in the world. email.com doctortvrao@gmail.com
