<U>TOURNAMENT TYPES & RULES</U> <BR><BR>

<U>Timers - </U> <BR><BR>

<U>Bootems - 2 mins (including finals)</U> <BR><BR>

<U>Regular - 5 min (including finals)</U> <BR><BR>

<U>Arabian</U> <LI type="disk">Rated Table <LI type="disk">Played as regular 8 ball. Except opponent will call the pocket that you have to make <LI type="disk">the 8 in. <LI type="disk"> This remains the designated pocket for you for the remainder of the game. <BR><BR>

<U>Bank One Ball [and call it]</U> <LI type="disk">Rated Table <LI type="disk">You get to choose which ball you want to bank in this tourney. <LI type="disk">You MUST CALL the ball and pocket it before banking for it to count. Example: Red, top right. <LI type="disk">You can change the ball you want to bank if you miss as many times as you want. CUE BANKS DO NOT COUNT. <BR><BR>

<U>Bank 8<U/> <LI type="disk">Rated Table <LI type="disk">Played the same as a regular game. Bank 8 only when on the 8 ball to win <BR><BR>

<U>Bank 8 and Cue </U> <LI type="disk">Rated Table <LI type="disk">Bank either the 8 ball into the pocket or the cue ball into the 8 (and into the pocket). <LI type="disk">Failure to do so is a loss. <LI type="disk">Short banks do not count (must bank off an opposite rail). <BR><BR>

<U>Bank 8 in Last Pocket</U> <LI type="disk">Rated Table <LI type="disk">Bank either the 8 ball or cue ball into the 8 ball in the last pocket your color ball went into. <LI type="disk">Failure to do so is a loss. <LI type="disk">Short banks do not count (must bank off an opposite rail). <BR><BR>

<U>Bank Cue Only</U> <LI type="disk">Rated Table <LI type="disk">Bank cue ball (white) only when on the 8 ball to win. <BR><BR>

<U>Banks & Combos</U> <LI type="disk">Rated Table <LI type="disk">For every shot done in this tourney, it must include a bank shot or a combo shot to be accepted. <LI type="disk">If ANY shots are not at least a bank or a combo that drop in, you MUST tap ball back to opponent and lose <LI type="disk">that turn. <BR><BR>

<U>Bank Specific Color</U> <LI type="disk">Rated Table <LI type="disk">You must bank the color ball the TD specifies. <LI type="disk">If your opponent makes that ball for you or you make that ball on the break then you do not have to bank. <LI type="disk">Otherwise, you must bank or you lose! Cue banks are not allowed on the color ball you must bank. <BR><BR>

<U>Bar Pool</U> <LI type="disk">Rated Table <LI type="disk">If scratch, opponent must only have BIH behind the line and shoot up table. <LI type="disk">BIH on table anywhere else is NOT ALLOWED. If you pot 8 off the break its an automatic win. <BR><BR>

<U>Black & Blue</U> <LI type="disk">Rated Table <LI type="disk">Played like Regular 8 Ball. 8 ball must be sunk in the same pocket as your blue ball. <LI type="disk">Please state the pocket when your blue is sunk to avoid

confusion. <LI type="disk">The blue ball may be sunk any time during the game. <BR><BR>

<U>Bootem </U> <LI type="disk">Practice Table - TD Invites <LI type="disk">This is played at a training table whereby the TD will invite all the players to the table. <LI type="disk">The rotation goes in alphabetical order. <LI type="disk">The TD breaks and then its player 1s turn. They sit at the table, click the cue, and shoot. <LI type="disk">Shoot once and stand. <LI type="disk">If you miss, you are booted. On scratch shots the cue ball can be placed anyplace behind the line. <BR><BR>

<U>Bootem - Bomb</U> <LI type="disk">Practice Table - TD Invites <LI type="disk">Played the same as Bootem. Except one flaw. <LI type="disk">The 8 ball (black) acts as a bomb and is placed just below the top center pocket. <LI type="disk">The "bomb" must remain untouched. <BR><BR>

<U>Bootem - Progressive</U> <LI type="disk">Practice Table - TD Invites <LI type="disk">This is played at a training table whereby the TD will invite all the players to the table. <LI type="disk">The rotation goes in alphabetical order. The TD breaks and then its player 1s turn. <LI type="disk">They sit at the table, click the cue, and shoot. <LI type="disk">For the first sitting, you must pot one ball. <LI type="disk">For the second sitting, you must pot two balls. <LI type="disk">For the third sitting, you must pot 3 balls, etc. <LI type="disk">If you miss, you are booted. <LI type="disk">On scratch shots the cue ball can be placed anyplace behind the line. <BR><BR>

<U>Bottomless</U> <LI type="disk">Rated Table <LI type="disk">Played the same as regular 8 ball with the exception of no balls can be potted in the bottom pockets. <LI type="disk">If a ball is potted in the bottom pockets, you must tap and give BIH. <BR><BR>

<U>CopyCat</U> <LI type="disk">Rated Table <LI type="disk">Played like Reg 8 EXCEPT you must match color for color with your opponent. <LI type="disk">If your opponent shoots in his green, then you must shoot in your green ball. <LI type="disk">If they shoot in the yellow you MUST shoot in the yellow ball. <LI type="disk">Any ball made out of order you give BIH. <BR><BR>

<U>Crazy 8</U> <LI type="disk">Rated Table <LI type="disk">Played exactly the same way as a regular 1v1 tournament, except when a person gets to the 8. <LI type="disk">Before they shoot, they have to wait for their opponent to say what pocket they have to hit it in, then that <LI type="disk">is the pocket designated for the 8 for them for the duration of the game. <BR><BR>

<U>Default Pocket</U> <LI type="disk">Rated Table <LI type="disk">Regular 8 except the 8 ball must be pocketed into the default Yahoo pocket (top middle by default).

<BR><BR>

<U>Fire & Ice</U> <LI type="disk">Rated Table <LI type="disk">First name in pairings must shoot Red Ball Last Second name in pairings must shoot Blue Ball Last! <LI type="disk">If Red or Blue is shot in early, you LOSE! <BR><BR>

<U>First Pocket</U> <LI type="disk">Rated Table <LI type="disk">Shoot the 8 into the pocket your first ball went into (whether you shot it or not). <LI type="disk">Make sure you call your pocket right after your first ball is sunk so there is clarity between you and your <LI type="disk">opponent. <BR><BR>

<U>Flawless</U> <LI type="disk">Rated Table <LI type="disk">First person to give Ball in Hand to opponent loses (by scratching or hitting their ball first). <LI type="disk">If this occurs, you must cancel the game.

<LI type="disk">The match is played like a regular 8 ball game if a flaw does not occur. <BR><BR>

<U>Four Corners</U> <LI type="disk">Rated Table <LI type="disk">You must pocket all balls into the 4 corner pockets. <LI type="disk">In other words, you cannot use the two middle pockets! <LI type="disk">If you make one in the middle, you must tap to your opponent and give them Ball in Hand. <LI type="disk">If you make one in the middle while making one of yours in the corner, then you can continue shooting. <BR><BR>

<U>Frozen Cue Ball</U> <LI type="disk">Rated Table <LI type="disk">At no time may you ever move the cue ball, no ball in hand, shoot from where Yahoo puts the ball, moving the <LI type="disk">stick, and English are allowed. <BR><BR>

<U>Full Power</U>

<LI type="disk">Rated Table <LI type="disk">You MUST use full power on all shots. <LI type="disk">That is the power bar at maximum power allowed. <LI type="disk"> Please be sure your opponent sees your power bar before shooting. <LI type="disk">THE BAR MUST BE IN FULL RED BEFORE SHOOTING, AND OPPONENT MAY ONLY THEN SAY OK TO SHOOT. <LI type="disk">If you forget, you must tap and give opponent Ball in Hand. <BR><BR>

<U>Funky 10</U> <LI type="disk">Training Table <LI type="disk">You both get 10 shots each 8 ball =20 points Red =5 points Rest =1 point <LI type="disk">The most with more points at end off game wins <BR><BR>

<U>Guys & Gals</U> <LI type="disk">Rated Table <LI type="disk">Guys must sink the blue ball last / Gals must sink the pink ball last before you go for the 8. <LI type="disk">If you sink your blue/pink ball while you have other balls on the table, you lose the game.

<LI type="disk">If you sink your opponents blue/pink ball at any time, you lose as well. <BR><BR>

<U>High / Low</U> <LI type="disk">Rated Table <LI type="disk">Player with stripes must play their balls in the top three pockets. <LI type="disk">Player with solids must shoot all balls in bottom three pockets. <LI type="disk">8-ball must be played in opponents center pocket. <BR><BR>

<U>Inviters Choice</U> <LI type="disk">Practice/Rated/Unrated Table <LI type="disk">Player in the top bracket on tournament standings gets to choose the game format. <LI type="disk">TD must approve if it is not a common format. <BR><BR>

<U>Ladies & Gents</U> <LI type="disk">Rated Table

<LI type="disk">*Ladies Pot 8 In Any Corner - Men Must Bank The 8* <BR><BR>

<U>Last Pocket</U> <LI type="disk">Rated Table <LI type="disk">Shoot the 8 ball into the pocket your last ball went into (whether you shot it or not). <LI type="disk">Make sure to call your pocket right after your last ball is sunk so there is clarity between you and your <LI type="disk">opponent. <LI type="disk">If 8 ball is hanging in a pocket it's an automatic re-rack. <BR><BR>

<U>Mystery 8</U> <LI type="disk">Rated Table <LI type="disk">Played like Reg 8 with a twist - when you are on the 8, you must ask the TD - in the lobby - what pocket the <LI type="disk">8 must be potted in. <LI type="disk">This will remain the same throughout the remainder of the match. <BR><BR>

<U>Musical Chairs</U> <LI type="disk">Unrated Table <LI type="disk">Regular 8. <LI type="disk">At any time the TD will come to your table and say "switch"; and you and your opponent switch seats and <LI type="disk">continue playing. <LI type="disk">The TD may show up more than once, or not at all you never know. <BR><BR>

<U>No English</U> <LI type="disk">Rated Table <LI type="disk">Do not use English for any shots including the break. <LI type="disk">If you use it by accident, you must tap and give your opponent Ball in Hand. <LI type="disk">If you use it on the 8 ball, you lose. <BR><BR>

<U>Oooopsies</U> <LI type="disk">Unrated Table <LI type="disk">Played as a Reg 8 but if you end up giving BIH (ball in hand) to your opponent you lose!! Oooops! <LI type="disk">Re-rack if 8 on break or you scratch on break.

<BR><BR>

<U>Pick Your Pocket</U> <LI type="disk">Rated Table <LI type="disk">You pick the pocket at the beginning of the game where you are to hit the 8 ball at the end of the game. <LI type="disk">Both players MAY choose the same pocket. <BR><BR>

<U>Poster Bed</U> <LI type="disk">Rated Table <LI type="disk">Just like Regular 8 Ball EXCEPT you must make the 8 ball in a corner pocket. <LI type="disk">If the 8 ball is lodged in side pocket, call TD to the table for possible rerack. <BR><BR>

<U>Race To Red</U> <LI type="disk">Unrated Table <LI type="disk">Sink Your Red By Any means possible. <LI type="disk">You cannot pot Your Red ball until ball type is associated, ( Stripes/Solides ).

<LI type="disk">No Ball in hand after break <LI type="disk">First player to sink their RED wins. <LI type="disk">A scratch on red is a loss <BR><BR>

<U>Red Ball Last</U> <LI type="disk">Rated Table <LI type="disk">Played like Regular 8. Object is to sink the red colored ball as your last colored ball before the 8 ball. <LI type="disk">If you sink that color early in the match, yours or your opponent's, it is a loss. <LI type="disk">In that case, quit and cancel your match with opponent. <BR><BR>

<U>Regular 8</U> <LI type="disk">Rated Table <LI type="disk">Normal game of pool. <BR><BR>

<U>Rack N Run</U> <LI type="disk">Practice Table <LI type="disk">It does not matter who goes first, but if you can not decide

the player with the higher yahoo rating chooses <LI type="disk">who shoots first. <LI type="disk">Player 1 sits and breaks as normal (random, from the left of the line). <LI type="disk">Continue shooting until the player misses or scratches. <LI type="disk">The total number of balls sunk is the players score for that turn. <LI type="disk">Number of racks to be announced by the TD. The player with the higher score advances. <LI type="disk">There are 2 styles to RNR: <LI type="disk">Full Rack = IF you complete a full rack, you stand and let opponent shoot. <LI type="disk">If tie, continue with a new match of RNR <LI type="disk">Continuous = Continuous Rack is where if you complete a full rack, you may re-rack and carry onwards until <LI type="disk">you have scratched or missed shot. <LI type="disk">Although, you MUST sink the next ball on break from a new rack. <BR><BR>

Suicide <LI type="disk">Unrated Table <LI type="disk">The FIRST player to pot the 8 ball, AFTER solids or stripes is determined wins. <LI type="disk">If you SCRATCH when you sink the 8, it is a LOSS.

<LI type="disk">If you sink the 8 ball on the break, it is a rerack no exceptions. <LI type="disk">There are 2 styles to Suicide: <LI type="disk">BIH = Ball In Hand Allowed. <LI type="disk">NO BIH = No Ball In Hand Allowed. <LI type="disk">If in this case, you must place cue ball back in same position as it was layed, or you will be <LI type="disk">forfeited upon TD's decision. <BR><BR>

<U>Suicide - Bank 8</U> <LI type="disk">Unrated Table <LI type="disk">Same rules as a regular suicide except you have to bank the 8 ball or the cue into the 8 ball to win. <BR><BR>

<U>Topless</U> <LI type="disk">Rated Table <LI type="disk">Played the same as regular 8 ball with the exception of no balls can be potted in the top pockets. <LI type="disk">If a ball is potted in the top pockets, you must tap and give BIH. <BR><BR>

<U>Underneath</U> <LI type="disk">Rated Table <LI type="disk">The twist to this trny is you must sink the 8 ball underneath your yahoo id and avatar. <LI type="disk">Example: If you are on the left you must sink the 8 in the top left pocket. <LI type="disk">Your opponent if on the right..must sink the 8 ball in top right pocket Any other pocket and YOU LOSE! <BR><BR>

<U>V Shaped Tourney</U> <LI type="disk">Rated Table <LI type="disk">You may only make balls in the Top Left, Bottom Middle and Top Right pockets (V-Shape). <LI type="disk">If a ball goes into a wrong pocket (without one going into the V also, you must tap and give opponent Ball in <LI type="disk">Hand. <BR><BR>

<U>Who Do You Trust</U> <LI type="disk">Unrated Table <LI type="disk">Played like a regular game of pool (type determined by TD)

with one exception. <LI type="disk">When you are on the 8, you must ask a fellow league member to shoot it for you. <BR><BR>

<U>2v2 Shoot and Stand</U> <LI type="disk">Unrated Table <LI type="disk">Games are to be played as regular 8 ball pool. <LI type="disk">Matches are best of 3. <LI type="disk">Teams choose who shoots first. <LI type="disk">Team members shoot one time, stand, and this will continue until the game is complete. <LI type="disk">In the event of a timer of player whose turn it is, timer will be placed. <LI type="disk">During this timer, team member should begin looking for another partner, any member in the league. <LI type="disk">If the hosting TD is NOT in the tournament, he/she will automatically fill in position and continue playing <LI type="disk">2v2. <LI type="disk">If TD is in the tournament, the league member found will play and continue tournament. <LI type="disk">Coaching is not allowed. <BR><BR>

<U>2v2 Shoot Til You Miss</U> <LI type="disk">Unrated Table <LI type="disk">Games are to be played as regular 8 ball pool. <LI type="disk">Teams choose who shoots first. Should one team member time out, that team member's turn is skipped and the <LI type="disk">other team shoots. <LI type="disk">The team member that times out is d/qed from the remainder of the tournament. <LI type="disk">The remaining partner is then eligible to finish the rest of the game. <LI type="disk">Timers are to be 5 mins for every round. Coaching is not allowed. <BR><BR>

<U>2v2 Best Of Three</U> <LI type="disk">Unrated Table <LI type="disk">Games are to be played as regular 8 ball pool. <LI type="disk">Teams choose who shoots first. Should one team member time out, that team member's turn is skipped and the <LI type="disk">other team shoots. <LI type="disk">The team member that times out is d/qed from the remainder of the tournament. <LI type="disk">The remaining partner is then eligible to finish the rest of the game.

<U>69 Seconds</U> <LI type="disk">ALL Matches are played on a Protected Training Table Hosted by the TD. <LI type="disk">First name in pairings shoots first. <LI type="disk">The TD will run a 69 second timer You sit and shoot as many balls in as you can in that time limit! <LI type="disk">If you scratch on the break or at anytime the cue ball is placed behind the line and you continue to shoot. <LI type="disk">When timer is up you stand and your opponent sits and follows same rules. <LI type="disk">The PLAYER that pots the MOST BALLS Advances <BR><BR>
