Sennheiser USB headset under Windows 7
I had some trouble getting my Sennheiser USB headset to work under Windows 7. Some of the headsets are incompatible with Vista (and Windows 7), but luckily can be upgraded. How I got it to work: 1. Plug your headset into a XP or Vista PC. The upgrading process won't work under Windows 7. 2. Download firmware upgrade. 3. Run the downloaded executable. It will install a temporary driver, and upgrade the firmware on your headset. 4. Done! Plug it into your Windows 7 machine. op 12:46 PM Labels: Hardware, Sennheiser, Windows 7 13 comments:

Windows 7 Problem Sennheiser PC 35 USB Headset unrecognised

Problem: I have recently aquired a Windows 7 PC and tried to plug a Sennheiser PC 35 USB Headset into it. Attempts to fix the problem: * Plugging it into all USB ports, result - the device remains unrecognised. * Using the fix for the problem stated in the manufacturer's website, result - the device remains unrecognised. * Trying to set it as default in the sound manager menu, result - the device remains unrecognised. With this information availible, any thoughts on how to correct this problem?

The PC35 includes an integral sound card. Find which sound chip it has and you may be able to find a driver.

Hi! I downloaded this firmware and tried to install but it didn't help. i run it as admin but there was ab answer : Filterdriver is not corect installed on the sennheiser USB device! Then : Pleas remove and replug your USB device to start new firmware. HELP PLEASE!

I tried the firmware for 3 days without actually understanding it. You can run the firmware update on ANOTHER PC (like an XP one or Vista), it will update your actual headset and when you plug it back in Windows 7 PC headset will work by default. Party !
