Andrew T. Lineberry Honors English Bell 4 September 7, 2013 Why Language Came From God. Language has come from God because there is no other way to explain where else it came from. Language is Gods intended purpose so that He could communicate with us and so we could communicate among His creation. There are countless amounts of proof in the Bible that proves to me that language is from Him. Language is too complicated to be discovered. We dont even necessarily have to talk to communicate. What human being could have started that? There just is no way language is a man-made skill. When it is used how it is supposed to it can be beautiful. In Genesis 10:5 it says, From these the maritime peoples spread out into their territories by their clans within their nations, each with its own language. God intended people to communicate with each other and make their own nations. God wanted there to be different languages, proclaimed in Daniel 7:14, because he loves all languages and wants to be praised in all ways possible. God loves all men; He just wants to hear it from you because He loves you. He gave us language to make strong, powerful nations among His creation. When God made the earth, He spoke it into existence. And God said, Let there be light, and there was light; this passage, from Genesis 1:3, says how God spoke light into the world. Sonoluminescence is the effect of light producing in bubbles when sound passes through them. There have been researchers at colleges such as UCLA that have proven this to be a fact. This is one of the many discoveries of how His creation exists.

The Bible has not ever been proven wrong. By that fact alone, it should tell us language came from God. He created everything we know and are yet to discover. Language is just one of those discoveries. Scientific evidence that has been recently mentioned proved one fact right. Evolution has said the world commenced from dust, well where did that dust come from? What was the absolute start of anything physical? The facts that cant be answered with science are answered with the Bible. All we need to know is what is in the Bible; science is only supposed to show Gods creation so it can glorify Him. Language is too difficult for humans to come up with by themselves. When God created Adam, the first man, he did not have to learn language, he already knew. So the man gave names to all the livestock, the birds in the sky and all the wild animals. Genesis 2:20. Here God is letting Adam choose names for his living creatures. This is significant because God had a special connection with him and wanted man to call creatures what he wants. This has to do with the origin because it shows God had a plan for us to rule over all creation; a creation He spoke into existence. When God spoke the world to existence, he made it with one language, so how did multiple languages come to the earth? Genesis 11:7, Come, let us go down and confuse their language so they will not understand each other. At the Tower of Babel the people were building a tower in hopes of seeing God. They all spoke the same language, so God confused their language so that they could no longer work together. By doing this God created multiple languages so the people who had the same language spread throughout the world; therefore, making the languages of the world.

Language, when it is used correctly, can be a beautiful thing. We have to use it every day in some way, even if you communicate with yourself. Our language with God is so advanced that we can just think at what we want Him to know. God knows all of us and loves us in our own special way. Deuteronomy 6:5-4 says, Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD: And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might. We are to use our language so that we can love God. If language is from Him, give it back to Him. Therefore, with facts given in this essay, it shows how language had to come from God. It was not created by man, but it is used by man so that it can glorify the Lord. God made language so he can love us and because He wants to communicate with us. Language is so complicated; we had to have someone make it for us. We live everyday using Gods language, so why not put aside some time to talk with the God who made it. There is no doubt in my mind that language has come from God. .
