Why write a new business intelligence software?

* Increased trend for cloud services * Use existing technologies, rather than re-invent the wheel * Use machine learning capabilities (neural networks) * Programming interface * Compete with existing business intelligence platforms in the medium to long term (start fairly big, then grow exponentially to achieve economies of scale) * Scale up, then create sub-sets of the functionality to allow SMEs and Micro-enterprises to tap into business intelligence capabilities, through subscription based software that may be more affordable than the fully blown application where the client owns the software. Subscription based pricing vs License per installation Penetration vs market skimming * The software license which give the option to the client to share data across the Industry would allow intelligence to build over time, over and above machine learning

The worldwide IT outsourcing (ITO) market is forecast to grow at a slower pace of 2.8 per cent to touch $288 billion this year over 2012, research firm Gartner said. How would a business intelligence tool help senior management make faster decisions, through aggregated information?
Can a little entrepreneur in Malta provide business solutions and technology solutions capable of managing culture, marketing, expansion and other strategic decisions? We need to offer holistic IT/IS management and application support. Where are we going to gather this information, and, how are we going to manage to provide business intelligence through business analysis?

The strategic management system will incorporate a data warehouse (or a scaled downversion of a data warehouse) which can be queried through LINQ, MDX and SQL. Cultural management based on research made by Geert and Hofstede and other research available with the standard product. Performance Management based on Balanced Scorecard (Kaplan and Norton). Data mining capabilities to allow users to query and crunch Quantitative information, aggregated and summarized on reports Through a report builder and qualitative information such as Text mining through vision statements to identify strategic objectives, And analyze metrics against intelligent analysis of text i.e. not a simple Regex query but a search string that is generated according to the needs of The user or the industry. Search engine capabilities are required e.g. using JQuery, with heavy use of Indexed data fields to speed up queries. Distributed data across the cloud, depending on the location of the client. Replication of database to ensure a disaster recovery is included within The design.

* EU Funding (2014 to 2020), which allows the enterprise to tap into EU funding. * Make effective use of human capital with expertise on the matter and offer support where the enterprise you manage is already established and therefore promoting a mature business model i.e. starting big, rather than small, to avoid teething problems. * Machine learning and ability to design a product which allows your clients to share information without identifying the granular detail which would give them undesired access to information which would give rise to anti-competitive practices through licensing that is based on cross-industry collaboration. We would simply use existing research and update business intelligence data from existing clients * It is interesting because marketing personnel and fresh graduates would get the opportunity to interview corporate executives as part of a market research process, intended to provide input to the analysis and design process. How will we develop this product? * Contacts with a team of experts in Bulgaria and possibly work remotely. * Iterative software development e.g. Agile/DSDM, which allow for continuous Improvement.
