Canadian Telecommunications Company: Storm Drain System Rehabilitation

Location: Ontario, Canada Situation:
The storm drain system experienced leaks due to cracks and mechanical joint failures. The horizontal storm drains, which are covered with electrical wires, ductwork and asbestos, run directly over switchboards, terminals and batteries for the communication network. A repipe was not feasible.

Solution:

Leaks jeopardized the functionality of the communication network, so the building engineer promptly picked Nu Flow to rehabilitate the pipes. The facility remained fully operational during the Nu Drain installation. The storm drains now have a protective liner that will prevent leaks and other failures.
