YARN RED HEART Super Saver, 7oz/198g skeins, each approx 364yd/333m (acrylic) 1 skein #334 Buff (A) 2 skeins #310 Black (B) 1 skein #311 White (C) 1 skein #341 Light Grey (D) CROCHET HOOK Size G/6 (4mm) crochet hook or any size to obtain correct gauge NOTIONS Black felt 2 tiny wood balls, 6mm diameter (for drumsticks) Fiberfill, non-allergenic 2 wood sticks, 2.5/6cm long, 3mm diameter (for drumsticks) Gold wire, 12 gauge (2mm) Thin wire, 24 gauge (.5mm) or white sewing thread Thin plastic strip, 4.75/12cm long x .5/1.5cm wide Yarn needle

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS Large Drum Approx 5/12.5cm diameter GAUGE 14 sc and 12 rows = 4/10cm x 4/10cm Gauge is not critical for this project. NOTES 1 Work tightly so stuffing does not show through sts. 2 Much of this pattern is worked in a spiral without joining. Place a st marker in the last st of each round to keep place. 3 To join with sc, start with a slip knot on hook and work sc as usual. BIG DRUM Front and Back (Make 1 of Each) With C, ch 3; join with sl st in first ch to form a ring. Round 1 (RS) Work 2 sc in same ch as joining and in each ch around6 sc. Note Work in BL of sts on Rounds 26. Round 2 Work 2 sc in each sc around12 sc. Round 3 Work [2 sc in next sc, sc in next sc] 6 times18 sc. Round 4 Work [2 sc in next sc, sc in next sc] 9 times27 sc. Round 5 Work 2 sc in next sc, [sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc] 13 times, changing to B in last sc41 sc. Round 6 With B, [2 sc in next sc; sc in next 10 sc] 3 times, 2 sc in next sc, sc in next 7 sc; join with sl st in first sc45 sc. Fasten off. Side Section With D, ch 9.

Row 1 Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each remaining ch across8 sc. Rows 248 Ch 1, turn; sc in FL of each sc across. At end of Row 48, fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing. Assembly Cut 2 cardboard circles same size as Front and Back. Sew first and last rows of Side Section together to form a tube. With D, sew edges of Side Section to edges of Front and Back, inserting cardboard pieces at front and back and stuffing Drum as work progresses. Wire Legs Cut 2 gold wire pieces long enough to curve onethird of the way around the bottom of the Drum, plus 2 bent legs (approx 7"/18cm long). Curve center of wire and bend ends to form legs, bending end of legs out approx .25.50"/.51.5cm to stand. With thin wire, sew center curved section of wire legs under Drum, making sure black letters are positioned correctly. MEDIUM DRUM Top and Bottom (Make 1 of Each) With C, ch 3; join with sl st in first ch to form a ring. Round 1 (WS) Work 2 sc in same ch as joining and in each ch around6 sc. Rounds 24 Work same as Rounds 24 on Front and Back of Big Drum. At end of Round 4, join with sl st in first sc. Fasten off. Side Section With D, ch 11. Row 1 Sc in second ch from hook and in each

Bend wires in half and bend tip at one end of each wire approx .25-.50"/.5-1.5cm in the opposite direction. Insert bent ends into center of bottom of Drum. Secure wires to bottom of drum with thin wire or white sewing thread. Trim With B, ch as many sts as it takes to go around

outer edge of Drum. Sew ch to seam between Front and Side Section. Make another ch, sewing it to seam between Back and Side Section. SMALL DRUM Top and Bottom (Make 1 of Each) Work same as Top and Bottom of Medium Drum. Side Section With D, ch 8. Row 1 Sc in second ch from hook and in each remaining ch across7 sc. Rows 230 Ch 1, turn; sc in FL of each sc across. Fasten off. Assembly Work same as Assembly on Medium Drum. Wire Legs Cut 4 gold wire leg pieces approx 2.4"/6cm long. Bend wires in half and bend tip at one end of each wire approx .25.50"/.51.5cm in the opposite direction. Insert bent ends into center

Round 3 Work 2 sc in each sc around8 sc. Round 4 Repeat Round 316 sc. Round 5 Work [2 sc in next sc, sc in next sc] 8 times24 sc. Round 6 Sc in each sc around; join with sl st in first sc. Cut 3 pieces of gold wire 7.5"/19cm long for tallest cymbal, 6.5"/17cm long for medium cymbal, and 5.5"/14cm long for shortest cymbal. Bend end of wire legs approx 1"/2.5cm at bottom end and .5"/1.5cm at top end. Carefully insert top ends of bent wires in center of bottom of cymbals, making sure they dont show on top of cymbals. Wrap a short piece of thin wire or sewing thread around top of legs to secure them. Wrap a short piece of gold wire around bottom bent end of legs to secure. Drumsticks Glue one tiny wood ball to one end of each wood stick to form drumsticks. ELECTRIC BASS GUITAR Front and Back (Make 1 of Each) With D, ch 10. Row 1 Sc in second ch from hook and in each remaining ch across9 sc. Note Work in FL of sts on Rows 210. Row 2 Ch 1; turn; 2 sc in first sc, sc in each sc across to last sc, 2 sc in last sc11 sc. Row 3 Ch 1, turn; sc in each sc across. Row 4 Ch 1, turn; sc2tog, sc in each sc across to last 2 sc, sc2tog9 sc. Row 5 Ch 1, turn; [sc2tog] twice, sc in next sc, [sc2tog] twice5 sc. Rows 6 and 7 Repeat Rows 2 and 37 sc. Row 8 Repeat Row 29 sc. Rows 9 and 10 Repeat Row 4, twice5 sc at end of Row 10. Edging Ch 1, work sc evenly spaced around outer edge of bass Front/Back; join with sl st in first sc. Fasten off. Sides With B, ch 43. Row 1 Sc in second ch from hook and in each remaining ch across42 sc. Row 2 Ch 1, turn; sc in FL of each sc across. Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing. With B, sew Sides between Front and Back, stuffing lightly before closing. Neck With B, ch 20. Row 1 Sc in second ch from hook and in each remaining ch across19 sc. Rows 24 Ch 1, turn; sc in FL of each sc

across. At end of Row 4, fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing. Fold Neck piece around plastic strip and sew closed. Referring to photo for placement, sew Neck to assembled Front and Back piece, overlapping Neck approx halfway on Front of bass. Using C, embroider 4 strings on Neck piece and 4 French knot tuning pegs at end of Neck piece, as shown in photograph. With B, chain 4 for bridge. Fasten off. Sew bridge to front of bass guitar, at end of Neck, as shown in photograph. Using B, embroider a small outlined rectangle on Front, as shown in photograph. Sew or glue 2 tiny yellow buttons in center of rectangle for volume knobs. Strap With B, ch 45. Fasten off. Sew ends of Strap to Bass, referring to photo for placement. SEAT Top and Bottom (Make 1 of Each) With C, ch 3; join with sl st in first ch to form a ring. Round 1 (WS) Work 3 sc in ring3 sc. Note Work in BL of sts on Rounds 25. Round 2 Work 2 sc in each sc around6 sc. Round 3 Repeat Round 212 sc.

Round 4 [Work 2 sc in next sc, sc in next sc] 6 times18 sc. Round 5 [Work 2 sc in next sc, sc in next 2 sc] 6 times; join with sl st in first sc24 sc. Fasten off. Side Section With C, ch 6. Row 1 Sc in second ch from hook and in each remaining ch across5 sc. Rows 227 Ch 1, turn; sc in FL of each sc across. Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing. Assembly Cut 2 cardboard circles the same size as Top and Bottom. Sew first and last rows of Side Section together to form a tube. With C, sew Side Section to edges of Top and Bottom, inserting cardboard pieces at top and bottom and stuffing Seat as work progresses. Wire Legs Make 3 legs with gold wire, each 3.5"/9cm long. Bend bottom of legs approx 1"/2.5cm. Insert top of legs in center bottom of Seat. Wrap a piece of thin wire around top of legs and another piece around bottom of legs, just above bend to secure legs. Trim Using D, embroider 6 chain lines on top of Seat, placing 3 lines horizontally and 3 lines vertically.
