A MUCH GREENER SCHOOL

We have already studied about sustainability and how to turn the world, or specifically Renascena, into a greener school. We can make Renascena be a sustainable school with a lot of different ways, helping with the pollution, the garbage, the non-renewable energy, the water and other problems. By adopting new methods that replace the old and non-green ones, and by that, saving money and causing no damage to the planet. Nowadays in our school, we use normal white paper for writing, we do not print on both sides of the paper, and we waste a lot of them on hygiene causes, because we have no control on the students and how much paper they get every time they go to the bathroom, so unfortunately there is not something that we can control! We also need to start buying writing paper of reforestation area instead of buying normal white ones or even recyclable paper, because the chemicals and the energy used to make them dont make the paper worth. The school uses a lot of different sources energies but, some of them arent clean energies and the problem is that the students waste a lot of them because of the lights, the air conditioner and other problems! Aware to the people in the school that the energy waste is a problem to the world is difficult but we can try to encourage everyone to turn off the light when not using them, or when there is clarity, to enjoy it by turning off the lights. Finding another energy source such as solar panels that helps to save energy, but the problem is that solar panels are a little expensive. The school should found a donor to provide some money to this or save money to this spending, but the work needed would be big and finding a donor would be very difficult. We should, inside the school, encourage the students with posters and phrases to help the environment, because that is a great way to avoid waste of different means, like turning off the light when not using them, or when there is clarity, enjoying this, only taking at most two sheets of paper after going to the bathroom, and replacing incandescent bulbs by fluorescent bulbs, which use less energy and are more economic and cause less damage to the planet. In conclusion, we should encourage people to practice this greener habits, but we should do it with the president, the directors, the teachers and the students, in other words, the whole school (if possible the whole world!) to join it. Everyone need to be aware that these habits will not just help your friends, we must think bigger, and

know that just one of a greener habit that you practice will help the world and make a better future for the other generations, those children who will be your children, and your grandchildren, to sum up, someone who is or will be, part of your family and needs your help with this greener habits, independent if you are at your work, or at your house or in our case, at our school, this will make a healthy and better life for everyone.
