TEXTBOOK We are going to use Macmillan Voices 4. We have got a textbook and a workbook in paper. You can write on the workbook but please use a pencil and not a pen. All the activities on the workbook have to be clearly corrected. Also, we have available the digital version of the books for selfcorrection.

MACMILLAN WEBSITE The Macmillan website provides extra activities for each unit. The teacher can keep track of the work you do and at the end of the term activities of the units we have done should be finished. The teacher will give you the password. Please keep it in a safe: you should write it on your diary and somewhere in your computer. BLOG The blog aims to be a communication tool between the teacher and students. There you will find all sort of material: power point presentations, grammar reviews, vocabulary games, songs, videos, extra activities, etc. DICTIONARY You have got a very good dictionary and you have to use it. Translators are forbidden! Instead you can use online dictionaries such as wordreference.com or macmillandictionary (monolingual). Links are provided in the blog. PORTFOLIO You should fill in the Passport and Biography at the beginning of the year. Also, you should complete every unit before the exams and hand it at the end of term. DOSSIER

Your dossier has to be in order, dated and with numbered pages. Nice presentation and beautiful handwriting. And please, make the most of the paper! Dont use one sheet each day. You have the rubric I use available in the classblog. WIKI We are going to have a wiki open for you to use. This will work as a collaborative tool and each of you will be responsible for a correct use. Some tasks will be compulsory and others optional. READERS There are to readers to be read at home: The Canterville Ghost, Oscar Wilde, Oxford Readers. (1st term) The mark of Zorro, Johnson MacCulley, Macmillan Readers . (2nd/3rd term)

Some of the work will be done in class, but you have to read them mostly at home, do the activities set, fill in the readers questionnaire and do a test for each book.

PROJECT.SHORT FILM During the 2nd term you will carry out a project work in groups making a short film. This is organized by the Foreing Language Department of the school. EVALUATION Evaluation in ESO is formative and summative and the final mark is worked out from these percentages: 70% exams---a written exam after 2 units (grammar, vocabulary, reading, writing and listening) and oral tests 30% homework, website, portfolio/dossier, attitude readers, writing assignments, project,
