Homework and Exam Rules

Unless prior arrangements are made or a valid excuse is given, late homework will not be accepted. (The due date will be on the homework set.)

On campus students will submit their homework at the beginning of class on the day it is due. Off campus students will attach a .pdf file of their homework to an email message and send it to jtlukows@mtu.edu or fax their homework to 906-487-2949.

All requests for additional points or correcting errors on homework or exams must be made on the day the exams/homework are returned to the student. No requests at the end of the semester such as I think I deserve two more points on exam one, which is all I need to get a B in the course. will be given any consideration.

All exams are closed book, closed notes. An 8.5 x 11.0, self-prepared formula sheet will be allowed for reference for each hour exam. Calculators that cant communicate with other devices are the only types permitted. Laptops are not allowed.

Video classroom and on-line/on-campus students will be expected to engage the evening exams when announced. On-line/off campus students will be given a window of opportunity to meet with their proctor and complete the exams. CLASS ATTENDANCE COUNTS! Missing 4 classes may result in a reduction of one full grade. Every 2 additional classes missed may result in another grade reduction.
