ANNUAL REPORT 2011-12

The school reopened in June 2011 with a clear count of 100% pass result. All students were promoted thanks to the Right to Education Act. No failures, no tears, only all the way cheers. As the month unfolded , we found many students left the school and had opted for other schools. We opened our doors to take in new beneficiaries. We refused to be beaten down to low numbers. Here is a look at us through the rear window : Number of students as in April 2011 No. of students who left in 2011-12 Reason for leaving 1) Regular absenteeism 2) No escort 3) Change of school No. of new students enrolled in July 2011 No. of students promoted : 105 : 17

: 23 : ALL , NO FAILURES

With the new academic year having commenced we set about putting into practice the objectives and guidelines we had prepared for ourselves. Students academic difficulties were resolved by tutors during coaching hours. Quite a few students approached their tutors themselves to get their difficulties solved. Tutors coaxed the students to come upfront whenever they had difficulties. Month end tests were scheduled and homework was given importance. Those students who remained absent from due coaching to some reason were individually instructed and guided by tutors to make up their missed studies. Midway, during second term a parents tutors meeting was held wherein parents were explained the importance of good homework habits and that compulsory promotion only covered till Std. VII. Thereafter the students would be promoted on meritorious academic performance during exams. We did not want the gradually creeping complacent attitude of students to take root. Exams were held by the school as scheduled and we prepared our beneficiaries to give their best. S. R. Beneficiaries had a few opportunities to have fun as well. On 18th September, 2011 the Annual Prize Distribution Program was held at Patkar Hall wherein all S. R. beneficiaries attended to applaud the prize winners. Std.
