INTRODUCTION
Prof. Ishikawa who is known as ' The Father of Quality Circle Movement ' started the Quality Circle concept in Japan. The Contribution of the Quality Circles in making Japan an "Economic Super power " has led many countries to adopt this concept. In India this concept was started in1982. A Quality Improvement Team is small group of People working in an organization in the same work area. They form a Team to resolve their own work related problems . 7 Step problem solving method is used to resolve the problem. Simple problem solving tools are used to resolve these problems. The Group arrives at an acceptable solution and Implements with help of 7 Quality Tools . It Fosters the spirit of team work and co operations and brings about a sea change in the attitude of people. ' Continuous Improvement is most important in the Quality Improvement movement.

OBJECTIVES
To make participants Understand the fundamental principles of problem-solving Understand how to apply the 7 QC tools in the workplace Comment critically on corrective actions raised as a result of applying the tools Take ownership of applying 7 QC Tools as a corrective and preventive measure to avoid mistakes and improve product / service quality Interpret and measure the effectiveness of implemented solution

Worked on exhaust emissions on Govt of India panel Worked in production & Marketing for 13 years Started new Cummins factory at Daman Kaizen Implementation for 6 Years Helped many Industries to improve in SMED & TPS Visited Toyota and Denso Japan - to study special Kaizen methods which are not normally practiced in Indian industry.

Received many awards from CII, QCFI , Productivity council NRICCI award for Kanban implementation. Best of Best award form QCFI Best Kaizen Project. Attended International conferences on Kaizen and Quality Circle And presented papers on kaizen Implementation.
