Delco Remy International, USA (From May 1995 to Dec2007) EDI Tech Lead/Coordinator/Manager At Delco Remy, I have been working as an AS/400 Tech Lead/Coordinator/Technical Trainer and leading the 5 members AS/400 technical team. The following are some of the main projects we are handling at Delco.

The Purpose of the project was to support and the development of the AS/400 EDI(GENTRAN Server for Unix 5.3 & GIS 3.1) and SYNON/COOL/2E applications and QAD MRP applications on HP Unix and supports the EDI, Release Accounting and Shipping module on AS/400. Role: Involved in the applications development and maintenance work on AS/400 SYNON RPG environment. Supported the day to day operation problems and the development of the EDI, Release Accounting And Shipping modules (CSM) on AS/400. Leading the effort to document all legacy applications developed in AS/400 and SYNON technologies Responsible for creating training materials in AS/400 RPG and SYNON technologies. Coordinated the training effort to train junior programmers in AS/400 RPG and SYNON technologies. Have a very good knowledge of the Automotive Industry operations.

The purpose of the project was to support and the new development activities of the EDI, Release Accounting, Shipping and MRP applications. As a EDS Consultant, I worked as an expert technical resource for the EDI team of Delphi Automotive.

Role: Utilized Gentran for AS/400 as an EDI translator and and EDS ELIT as an EDI communication tool for the EDI application. Created Patterns, melded TPs and configured EDI data flow. Generated FA, TP and EDI activity report using AS/400 CL scripting. Converted all the GM Automotive EDI documents maps and programs from ANSI X12 to EDIFACT version. New Development and support activities on EDI , Release Accounting , Shipping and Bar-coding Applications on AS/400 using SYNON, RPG and GENTRAN Scripting.

The purpose of the project was to development and testing of the Billing module of the Pensions System. Billing Module is one of the very important modules in the system which is used to control all the activities of the members pension fund.

Role: Utilized SYNON 2E as the case tool for the development. Used EDI standards to send and receive files from the centralized Pension Office to the distributed branch office Used SYNON 2E CM to control the change management activities in the system.

Purchase Accounting Control System is an online module. It controls all the purchasing activities in EPCC. It is fully integrated with the Material Inventory Control System in EPCC. The main activities in this system are indent preparation, quotes maintenance and purchase order preparation. The following are some of the major reports generated by this system. They are outstanding indents for a cost center, outstanding purchase orders for a supplier/cost center, remainders to suppliers, summary of closed purchase POs in a period, purchase orders analysis

for a year and foreign/local purchase orders in any year. Being a member of the project group my responsibilities include development of purchase order preparation, processing of purchase orders and all the reports in this system.

Deposit Maintenance System is an online module that takes care of all activities in maintaining deposits. The activities include preparation of receipt for the acceptance of deposits, preparation of deposit certificate, preparation of interest warrants etc. The module also generates MIS reports for the activities; daily report on fresh deposits, daily report on closure of deposits, statement of accounts for customers, tax deduction reports and interest accrued statements. Being a member of the project group, my responsibilities include design and development of deposit certificate preparation and interest calculation programs.

Sales analyzer includes registering the sales of a particular item from a salesperson and giving the reports of sales to the company. I have developed this system using multimedia effect. For that we have used one voice processing card (Watson card) and one voice software (Watson software). Using the above hardware and software, we can record any speech in computer and that can be spoken out by connecting the telephone to the Watson card. Using the above voice facility in my project, I have made this as a multimedia project (Display &Voice)
