is a powerful Windows based program, capable of creating thousands of unique faces, yet its straightforward, simple to use features will have you creating faces of perpetrators in no time. These programs were designed with the fact in mind that every criminal investigator is not an artist or a computer wizard. Most individuals familiar with standard Windows programs can master the techniques by following the plain text, easy to follow, illustrated printed instructions included with each model. Classroom instruction is also available as an option.

Use the Capture Feature to create a database using your agencys mugshot images (negatives, slides, prints or digital cameras). Import them into comphotofit +Color II using a film or flatbed scanner with Twaincompliant software or load BMP , TGA, TIF or PCX images into a capture window for feature extraction capture any or all of the features and accessories from that image to create a personalized composite database.

CREATIVE WARPER
The Creative Warper is a special effects option designed to enhance and edit images using either the Nudge or Grid Tool. The Nudge Tool allows you to create distortions in order to depict swelling, bumps, bruises and receding hairlines.

Use the Grid Tool as shown above to warp the facial features.

The Grid Tool is used to make dramatic changes to your image perspective. For example, you could widen the nose area, raise and lower eyebrows, decrease the chin size and lengthen the mouth areacustomize it any way you want it.

Use tools similar to Windows paint tools to create changes to hair color, eye color, and skin tone. Paint tools can also be used to add identifying marks, such as tattoos or scars.

AGE PROGRESSION

In the pursuit of cold case files where a crime was committed 15-30 years ago, investigators are often stumped without a current suspect photo. With comphotofit, age the photo to reflect how the suspect may appear today.
