Prof. Michael Enright, University of Hong Kong Inclusive growth fostered by competitive cities: Presenting the Concept Michael Enright is Sun Hung Kai Professor at the School of Business of the University of Hong Kong; Director of the Asia-Pacific Competitiveness Program at the Hong Kong Institute of Economics and Business Strategy; Director of Enright, Scott & Associates, an economic and strategic consulting firm; and a Non-Executive Director of Johnson Electric Holdings. Professor Enrights work focuses on international business strategy and regional competitiveness. He has served as an adviser to leading organizations in 30 countries, advising leading companies on core strategies, China strategies, Asia-Pacific strategies, and global strategies; and advising governments and multilateral agencies on national, regional, and urban development strategies. He has appeared in 37 nations as a keynote speaker.

Mr. Jose Carrera, Corporate Vice President, Development Bank of Latin America (CAF), Venezuela Financing competitive cities a Latin American Approach Jos A. Carrera is in charge of developing and executing policies and financing operations for Social Infrastructure, Water, Urban Development, Health, Education, Risk Management and Environmental Programs. In the private sector he has served at the Board of Directors of various financial institutions and has held managerial positions at the capital markets industry. Mr. Carrera holds an Economist Degree of the Catholic University of Ecuador (PUCE), a Master of Arts and doctoral studies in Economics, of the University of Notre Dame, USA.

Mr. Michael Redican, Managing Director, Global Credit Structuring, Deutsche Bank Enabling frameworks for financing of competitive cities Mike Redican has been working in the banking industry since 1981 and has been at the forefront of Infrastructure, Energy, and other Project Financing for CA 20 years. He had led major acquisition in Infrastructure as well as a number of high profiled transactions such as the 2007 Euro Tunnel Restructuring and has transacted bond and bank deals in the European Transportation Energy and Social Infrastructure Sectors. These include the London Underground PPP, the Bartson Royal Hospital, and the A5 ring road in Austria. Michael is a leading expert in the Capital Markets Financing of Infrastructure and Energy Projects.

Mr. Ek Sonn Chan, General Director, Phnom Penh Water Supply Authority Financing Inclusive Cities and basic infrastructure and transport As a young engineering graduate, Ek Sonn Chan lost his entire family to the killing fields of the Khmer Rouge. Managing to survive as a farmer, he found work in 1979 in Phnom Penh, and rose to greater responsibilities until 1993 he was appointed to head the Phnom Penh Water Supply Authority (PPWSA). With determination and uncommon courage, he succeeded to rehabilitate this ruined public utility, bringing safe drinking water to a million people in Cambodias capital city. He and PPWSA have been awarded many recognitions local and international, namely ADB Water Prize 2004, the Ramon Magsaysay Award for Government Service on August 31st, 2006, the French honor medial Chevalier dans lordre de la Lgion dhonneur on February 1st, 2010, and Stockholm Industry Water Award 2010. Mr. Chan is also the advisor to the Cambodian President of Senate and the member of International Advisory Panel of Institute of Water Policy of Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy in Singapore.

Mrs. Erna Witoelar, UN special ambassador for Millennium Development Goals in Asia and the Pacific. Former Minister of Human Settlements and Regional Development, Government of Indonesia Erna Witoelar is the former UN Special Ambassador for MDGs in Asia Pacific (2003-2007). Before this post, she served as the Indonesian Minister of Human Settlements and Regional Development, responsible for the portfolio on housing & human settlements, public works, water resource management, and spatial planning. Commissioner of the High Level Commission on Legal Empowerment of the Poor. She is at present chair of the Partnership for Governance Reform in Indonesia, founder & chair of the board of the Foundation for Local Governance Innovation (YIPD) & co-chair of the Asia Pacific Water Forum. She is also on the board of diverse CSOs in Indonesia and in international fora.

Dr. Mary Racelis, Research Scientist and Professor, Ateneo de Manila University Financing Inclusive Cities and promotion of livelihood and commerce Mary Racelis is a prolific researcher, writer, presenter and engaged in many organizational roles over the years. Director of the Institute of Philippine Culture, Senior Policy Specialist on Womens Development, Family and Child Welfare, and Community Participation for UNICEF, spent 9 years as Regional Director of UNICEF's Eastern and Southern Africa Regional Office in Nairobi, Kenya and Country Representative of the Ford Foundation, Manila. Her long-time commitment to social science in the service of marginalized groups and social reform linked to civil society organizations led United Nations Secretary-General Kofi Annan in 2003-04 to appoint her to his Panel of Eminent Persons on UN-Civil Society Relations.

Mr. Konrad Otto-Zimmermann, Secretary General ICLEI Financing Green Cities The Concept Konrad Otto-Zimmermann is the Secretary General of ICLEI Local Governments for Sustainability since 2002. Master in Architecture and Urban Planning (Technical University of Hannover, Germany) Master in Public Administration (University for Public Administration, Speyer, Germany). He is the Chair of Global Agenda Council on Urbanization of the World Economic Forum. An Alumni of HRH The Prince of Wales' Business & the Environment Programme, Cambridge, UK. Currently Chair of Resilient Cities Annual World Congress on Cities and Adaptation to Climate Change. He is also Vice Chair, International Green Purchasing Network (IGPN)

Mr. Edward Cameron, Director, International Climate Initiative, World Resources Institute Financing Environmental Infrastructure in Cities Edward Cameron has over 14 years experience working on climate compatible development, specializing in governance, vulnerability, low carbon urban development, and climate negotiations. With Leadership experience across a range of institutional and regional settings, he has also served at the World Bank, the Government of the Maldives, the European Union, and a variety of city networks. As an expert in communications and capacity building, he has spoken at more than 250 conferences and political hearings, designed numerous training courses on climate change for development practitioners and government officials. Skilled at vernacularizing climate change for diverse stakeholder groups. Mr. Cameron also spearheaded high-profile strategies, including the human dimensions of climate change initiative, resulting in UN HRC resolutions and the incorporation of human rights text in the UNFCCC.

Ms. Manju George, Co-Founder and Vice President, Intellecap Financing Climate Adaptation in Cities Ms. George leads Intellecap's business consulting practice which advises and collaborates with a diverse range of private sector players engaging with the 'base of the pyramid' - social entrepreneurs, corporations, multilaterals, investors and philanthropic foundations in Asia and Africa. Her team works on identifying market opportunities to promote livelihoods of the poor, improve their access to services such as healthcare, financial services and education and reduce vulnerabilities posed by a changing climate. Intellecap advises funders and businesses on design and implementation of inclusive business models. Before Intellecap, Manju consulted to Kudumbashree, a poverty eradication and livelihoods development initiative of the Government of Kerala. Here, she focused on promoting and scaling up micro enterprises amongst low income women through training and access to finance and markets.
