FOUR CORNERS PRAYER JOURNEY

Jews and Christians from the FOUR CORNERS of the earth are praying together for eight days this Sukkot: The Feast of Tabernacles for the final return of the Jewish people from the FOUR CORNERS of the earth to the Land of Israel.

September 2013 / Tishrei 5774 Dear Partner in Prayer, We are living in extraordinary times. The hand of God in the affairs of man is evident, and there is no greater proof of this than the ingathering of Israels exiles from the four corners of the earth. Bring My sons from afar, and My daughters from the ends of the earth, declares the Lord (Isaiah 43:6). Over the past sixty five years, since the founding of the State of Israel, that is precisely what He has been doing, as Jews from Russia, Ethiopia, and elsewhere have all been brought home to Jerusalem on the wings of eagles. But now, a very special community is also struggling to make its long journey back and they need your help in prayer! More than 2,700 years after being exiled from the land of their ancestors, the Lost Tribe of Bnei Menashe in India is returning to Zion with the help of Israel Returns (Shavei Israel). In the coming months, we will be bringing 900 members of the community to Israel, and we urge you to pray for this ingathering. During the Feast of Tabernacles (Sukkot) when the Temple stood in Jerusalem, Jews brought sacrifices on behalf of the gentile nations, symbolizing how we must all stand together in the eyes of the Lord. In the spirit of that ancient tradition, we would like you to join us in devoting this Feast of Tabernacles to praying for the return of the Jewish people to the Land of Israel as part of our Four Corners Prayer Journey. In the following pages, you will find daily devotions to guide you in prayer as we seek to arouse Divine mercy. Please feel free to share this initiative with your friends, relatives and loved ones, and we encourage you to speak with your rabbi or pastor to involve your congregation as well. Shine Your countenance upon them and encourage them to stand firm and walk in Your ways as Israel continues to absorb thousands of Jewish immigrants from across the globe.

For I will take you out from among the nations, and gather you in from all the countries, and will bring you into your own land.

Pray for the Jews who are returning to Zion September 21, 2013 | 17 Tishrei 5774 | Third Day of Sukkot Our Father in Heaven, grant success to those Jews who have followed in the footsteps of their forefather Abraham and left their birthplace to the land that I will show you. May You bless those who have placed their trust in You and made Aliyah (immigration) to Israel. Young and old, they have arrived as single teenagers, young families and retirees in their golden years and reached the shores of Israel from the four corners of the earth, as prophesized by scripture.

God will bring you to the Land that your forefathers possessed and you shall possess it; He will do good to you and make you more numerous than your forefathers.

Pray for the Jews Still in Exile September 22, 2013 | 18 Tishrei 5774 | Fourth Day of Sukkot Dear God, may You open up the eyes of the Jews who still live in the Diaspora to see the great miracles You are performing in Israel. Awaken in their hearts a longing for the Land of Israel and may they follow in the footsteps of their forefathers who built and settled the Holy Land. Not as in days past when Jews sought refuge in Zion out of fear, but upright in their decision and proudly choosing to play a part in the unfolding of Divine destiny.

And He will set up an ensign for the nations, and will assemble the dispersed of Israel, and gather together the scattered of Judah from the four corners of the earth.

Pray for Lost Jews September 23, 2013 | 19 Tishrei 5774 | Fifth Day of Sukkot Father in Heaven, grant special blessing to the Lost and Hidden Jews scattered around the world. For centuries, Your people were persecuted for their loyalty to You and many have forgotten their Jewish roots. Help the Israel Returns organization find lost Jews where ever they may be; in Brazil, Poland, China, Peru, Russia and elsewhere, and open their hearts to Your word to reconnect with their Jewish heritage and return to the Land.

Hear the word of the LORD, O you nations, and declare it in the isles afar off, and say: He that scattered Israel is gathering him in, and preserving him, as a shepherd does his flock.

Pray for the Lost Tribe of Bnei Menashe September 25, 2013 | 21 Tishrei 5774 | Seventh Day of Sukkot Almighty God, grant grace and wisdom to the men and women serving on the cabinet of the State of Israel as they decide the fate of the Lost Tribe of Bnei Menashe in India. Put into their hearts compassion to restore them to their ancestral homeland, this ancient community which is descended from the Ten Lost Tribes of Israel. In Your infinite compassion, please swiftly return them to Israel and the Jewish people.

Pray for the Final Redemption of Israel (and coming of Messiah) September 26, 2013 | 22 Tishrei 5774 | Eighth Day of Sukkot Our Father in Heaven, Rock of Israel and our Redeemer, bless the State of Israel, the first blossoming of our redemption. May it be Your will O God, and the God of our forefathers, that you quickly rebuild the Temple in Jerusalem and herald the coming of the righteous Messiah, in our lifetime, Amen.

Therefore, behold, the days come, says the LORD, that they shall say no more: 'As the LORD lives, that brought the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt'.
