PHOTO PRINTER

THERMAL PRINTER

Purpose: Thermal wax printers are used for presentation graphic and handouts. This type of thermal printer uses an equivalent panel of ink for each page to be printed, no matter if a full page or only one line of print is transferred. Monochrome printers have a black page for each page to be printed, while color printers have either three (CMY) or four (CMYK) colored panels for each page Working: Thermal print, one inserts thermo-sensitive paper between the thermal head and the platen. The printer sends an electrical current to the heating resistor of the thermal head, which in turn generates heat in a prescribed pattern. The heat activates the thermo-sensitive coloring layer of the thermo-sensitive paper, which manifests a pattern of color change in response. Such a printing mechanism is known as a thermal system or direct system. DYE-SUBLIMATION

Purpose: DYE-SUBLIUMATION printers are used to print photo lab quality pictures at home. DYE-SUBLIUMATION produce continuous tone image that look photographic film thats why most of the publisher and graphic artist like to use DYESUBLIUMATION printer. Working: A long roll of transparent film that resembles sheets of RED, BLUE, YELLOW and GREY color. The paper and ribbon is passing through the print heads. The ribbon is heated and shaded dots of DYE are transferred to the paper.th ribbon contains a panel of each color and the same size as being printed. Plotter can draw continues point to point lines directly from victor graphic files and commands.
