Bag with Appliqué

YOU WILL NEED:

Fabric: Bag Body: 3/8 yard, 45” or 54” wide;
Handles and Stem Appliqué: 3/8 yard, 45” or 54”
wide; Flower Appliqués: 8 1/2” x 7 1/2” Synthetic
Suede Remnant
Lining: 3/8 yard, 45” or 54” wide
Interfacing: 1/2 yard, 36” or 45” wide 3. Turn upper edge to inside along seamline, notch-
ing out and easing in fullness as necessary; press.
SUGGESTED FABRICS: Home Decorating Fabrics,
Brocade, Tapestry, Denim, Silk and Embroidered
Wool; For Handles: Faux Suede

NOTIONS: Approximately Fifteen 4mm Pony Beads

and 8” x 3” Piece of Cardboard
4. Stitch FRONT and BACK 2 sections to lower edge

14. With right sides together, pin front and

back lining to lower edge of handle facing. Stitch

keeping remainder of bag free. Press seam toward 18. Place Flower Center Applique 3 in center of petals,
lining. Turn lining to inside; press. matching small circles. Tack in place.

15. Prepare APPLIQUES 3 and APPLIQUES 4. Cut
