APPENDIX B JOB DESCRIPTION BAHRAIN FINANCING COMPANY JOB TITLE: DEPARTMENT: MANAGEMENT TRAINEE (MT) RETAIL BRANCHES

POSITION IN ORGANIZATION: REPORTS TO: Branch Manager

Management Trainees will have an extensive training for one year covering various aspects of the business. MTs shall pass through a Final assessment by HR and Department Head. At the end of the 12 month period the trainee's performance will be considered by the Management, who will then place the trainee in their first permanent position of Senior Sales Consultant or Assistant Branch Manager with on-going Personal/Professional Development Plan. The job offered will depend upon the performance of the trainee on the scheme as well as the vacancies available within BFC at that point. Selected candidates will be identified and could be possibly deployed at other BFC Group Companies.

MAIN DUTIES
MTs shall be responsible for the daily interaction with the customers within the branch network. They will be responsible for achieving sales target, providing customer service and ensuring all operational policies and procedures are followed. Responsible to provide foreign exchange services including remittances, travellers cheques, foreign banknotes and any other services to BFC customers, maintaining a high standard of customer service and ensuring company procedures and controls are followed at all times. MTs to ensure they visit all the branches; learn the fundamentals of customer service. All Management trainees will be trained on the policies, procedures, local regulation, CBB Regulations, BFC products and services, fossil systems and other essential software. MTs shall be Orientated with other functional departments of business units so that they understand all the vital functions of BFC. MTs shall be trained to enhance knowledge on BFCs market positioning, understand different markets and will have orientation on BEC, BFC Exchange in Malaysia, BFC Forex and EzRemit etc. MTs will undergo a rigorous training with Internal Audit & Compliance departments so they understand how their contributions are interconnected with other divisions of the organization. The Management Trainees must demonstrate progress and be ready to shoulder greater responsibilities.

FINANCIAL:
Balance the cash at the end of the shift and prepare the necessary reports. Ensure the float is counted by the Branch Manager and regular spot checks are carried out on their float. Immediately inform the Branch Manager when a surplus or shortfall is identified in the till. Ensure protection of entrusted money and any other valuables to the company at all times by ensuring the till is always locked when the cashier is not present at their desk. Ensure adequate cash stock is available at all times and when a potential shortage is identified the branch manager is immediately advised. Stick to the advised limits for cash stock. Understand that the commission and revenue from all transactions is associated with the costs of running the branch operation and therefore its profitability.

CUSTOMER SERVICES:
Deliver the highest standard of Customer Service levels that reflect the brand values. Catering to prospective/existing customers to understand their needs and explain offerings/options to prospective customers regarding the best product available.

OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCE:
Adhere to Front Office procedures and controls at all times; ensure that adherence at all times with the companys rules and requirements and sales process and that the companys policies and procedures are adhered to. Ensure successful handover of your till, passwords, keys or other relevant information/requirements by communicating to the Line Manager for the successful operation of the branch during vacations or long leaves or as requested. Liaise with Branch Manager, Branch Training Manager or Head of Retail Branches for clarifications. 2

TEAM WORK:
Contribute to an environment of teamwork within the branch by ensuring everyone realizes that the success of the branch is dependent on all working towards the same organizational goals. Work within a team to help drive sales, competitiveness and enhance sales and customer service techniques.

Bachelor Degree Preferred.

Fresh graduate Good reading, writing and arithmetic skills required Fluent in English and any other second language Strong customer service skills Excellent communicator Basic PC skills (intermediate knowledge in MS Office) High attention to detail Strict work ethics Well presented Self motivated with high levels of drive and energy Excellent organization and negotiation skills

Other skills required for the job:


Customer service and or sales experience Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and business accountancy packages Interpersonal / communication skills

3. INDEPENDENT ACTION & DECISION MAKING The job holder carries out assignments according to the policies & procedures & general directives providing independent assurance and recommendations to Branch Manager/Assistant Branch Managers. 4. ACCOUNTABILITY FOR ACTIONS/RESULTS The job holder has to secure all cash / financial transactions are monitored and recorded. Accountable for cash shortages if any. Ensure better audit ratings for the branch

5. KEY RELATIONSHIPS Internal Relationships: Branch Manager


The Branch Manager will set and monitor your performance against the job descriptions to adhere to Branch guidelines by discussing existing policies and procedures on a regular basis and by advising of any changes to the daily operations or introduction of new work practices

Branch Training Manager


The Branch Training manager will manage your training schedules in liaison with your department and HR. HR Department For HR related queries and procedures (e.g. leave management etc)

External Relationships/Contacts:
Customers For relationship development and sales, and pre and post sale customer service

6. CONFIDENTIAL INFORMATION Password and login information. Not sharing any customer information/policies or for that matter any information discussed within the branch or organization with any 3rd party. 7. WORKING CONDITIONS
The Management Trainee will be required to work the branch opening hours they are assigned to which includes the different shifts they operate Each member of staff is entitled to one day off a week. The job will require the Management Trainee to cover different BFC locations dependent on cover requirements for other staff as a result of leave or sickness The Management Trainee will be expected to arrive 15 minutes before opening time and stay until they have balanced their till and the necessary administration is finalized. Work requires willingness to work a flexible schedule and work on a variety of counters/services as requested by management

8. MENTAL DEMANDS & JOB COMPLEXITY The job holder is required to plan and organize related activities, reports and adhoc requests, so as to accomplish the assigned task in a timely efficient manner.
