Impact Training Sports Day

Let The Games Begin! On Wednesday 26th June 2013 Impact Training held their annual sports day. The day included activities such as snooker, badminton, football, table tennis, sumo wrestling and rock climbing. We were able to take full advantage of our wonderful summer weather and have a barbeque. On behalf of everyone at Impact Training we would like to offer our thanks to Belfast Activity Centre for providing equipment, Hammer Youth Centre for hosting the event, FASA for providing the football tournament, Caroline McKinley and Gemma Traynor for organising such a fantastic day.

Impact Training Maximising Potential

Graduation
Impact Training would like to congratulate Janet Wilson, Retail Tutor; Kate Breen, Catering and Hospitality Tutor; Joanne Stewart, Childcare Tutor and Caroline McKinley Personal Development Tutor on their recent graduation. The girls have worked hard all year round on obtaining their Certificate in Teaching from University of Ulster Jordanstown. When asked how she felt about the programme and finally graduating, Caroline said My colleagues and I had a fantastic day at the School of Social Sciences graduation ceremony at the Waterfront Hall, Belfast. We spent last term studying at the University of Ulster to complete a Certificate in Teaching. We developed ourselves both personally and professionally by improving our teaching practice and building on our current skills in the classroom. I feel very valued as a member of staff as I was encouraged to complete the course and given the time off to attend classes. I know that it was not only worthwhile for my own career development but ultimately it will benefit any learner I come into contact with as I will be able to provide them with quality teaching.

Trip Out
Since June Impact Trainees have taken part in group outings and activities. The trips and activities are designed as a reward for all the hard work throughout the year. It gives the students some time to relax and socialise with their fellow students. Some of the places visited included Carnfunnock and Newcastle with activities such as Ice Skating, Bowling, Crazy Golf and a group Boat/Bus Trip proving very popular.
