Tasmanian All Schools Cross Country


On the 30th of June 10 students participated in the IGA Secondary All Schools Cross Country at Symmons
Plains. This event acts as a selection trial for the Tasmanian Cross Country team. Our team was selected
based on student’s efforts in the school and inter-high cross country carnivals.

Dylan Meldrum finished 16th which was the best result for the school. Congratulations to the following
competitors: Rebecca Howe, Courtney Dowling, Jack Triffet, Taylor Harris, Leah
Woodberry, Skye Barker, Hamish Bound, Dylan Meldrum, Trisha Peper and Matthew Thompson-
Purton who participated in extremely windy and muddy conditions.

The Devonport City Council would like to advise that the Mersey Bluff Skate Park
will be closed from Monday 13th July to Friday 17th July 2009 due to drainage and landscaping works.
