Section 15820

DUCT ACCESSORIES

This guide specification section has been prepared by Dyn Air Inc. This section will assist design
professionals in the preparation of a specification section for all duct accessory products offered by
Dyn Air.

Since this section has been prepared according to principles established in the Manual of Practice
published by The Construction Specifications Institute (CSI) including the use of section numbers and
titles from 1995 Edition of MasterFormat, this guide specification may be used in conjunction with
most commercially available master specification sections, perhaps with minor editing.

The following should be noted in using this guide specification:
Optional text requiring a selection by the user is enclosed within brackets e.g.:
"Section [01330] [_____]"
Items requiring user input are enclosed within brackets, e.g.:
"Section [_____-_______]"
Optional paragraphs are separated by an "OR" statement centered on a separating space line,
e.g.:
"**** OR ****"
Metric equivalents to inch-pound units follow the inch-pound unit statement and are
contained within parentheses, e.g.:
"6 mm (1/4 inch)"
Metric measurements are rationalized units based on the SI system of measurement. Delete either the
metric or (inch-pound) units of measure depending on project requirements; do not include both units
in a project specification, as conflicting requirements or misinterpretation could result. A simple
macro can globally delete the unwanted measurement units throughout this section.

This guide specification is available in both hard copy and a variety of electronic softcopy formats to
suit the more popular word processing programs and operating systems. Please contact Carlisle
Coating & Waterproofing Incorporated by phone at 972-442-6545 or by facsimile at 972-442-0076, or

data or for information on differing available electronic softcopy formats.

This section includes performance, proprietary, and descriptive type specifications. Edit to avoid
conflicting requirements.
